Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 22 revolves around difficult decisions.

When Blake goes into surgery, she makes Marcel her power of attorney. However, when there's a complication, Avery and Marcel disagree about what Blake would have wanted. Marcel opts for a safer route rather than trying to repair a blood vessel despite Avery's belief her mother wouldn't want that.

When Blake awakens, she has trouble touching her finger to her nose. She thinks Marcel made the wrong choice and says her life doesn't matter if she can't operate.

Meanwhile, Scott and Maggie treat a severely alcoholic woman who has end-stage liver failure and severe brain damage. When her daughter comes to Med, they tell her that her mother is dying. Erin rants at her comatose mother that she was a horrible mother. Later, Maggie is shocked to discover that Erin is sitting by her mother's deathbed, comforting her.

Finally, Will and Asher butt heads after Will learns that a kidney patient plans to break up with the woman who is donating a kidney to him. Asher thinks Julia shouldn't give her kidney without being made aware of the truth, while Will thinks saving Owen's life is more important.
