Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 6 is all about difficult choices.

When Stevie discovers her mother's arm is infected, she insists on taking her to the hospital. Terri screams that she hates hospitals and doesn't want to be here, which Stevie ignores. Stevie assigns Vanessa to the case, mostly so that Stevie can direct her mother's medical care herself.

Terri has no interest in Stevie's opinion and Charles tells Stevie she needs to stop trying to parent her mother. However, Stevie tries one last time, attempting to insert a tracker into Terri's meds so that she can tell if she's taking them. When Terri finds out, she throws a fit and refuses the medication altogether.

Meanwhile, Marcel deals with a comatose patient who is likely brain dead, and who might be a good match for a transplant patient who needs a liver. Archer tells him he should care about ED patients, leading Marcel to question if he's doing the right thing.

Finally, Will wonders if he's wrong about Cooper after Cooper does an experimental procedure that saves a patient's life, but when another patient dies Sharon says Cooper may be responsible.
