Chicago Med Season 8 Episode 19 revolves around Jack's emergency board meeting.

One member, Vernon, is the deciding vote. If he votes against the measure it will fail. He agrees to vote against it, but suddenly collapses.

It turns out Vernon has a brain tumor. Abramas says removing the tumor is very risky, so Vernon's wife decides against it. That means Vernon is intubated and will not be able to participate in the meeting, but Jack decides to go ahead anyway.

Will asks Grace to take a look at the scan and see if 2.0 can help with the operation. Grace does, and Vernon's wife decides to consent to it since it is now much safer. This means Vernon can vote -- however, Grace is angry at Will when she finds out he knew this when he came to her.

Elsewhere, Asher and Archer butt heads when Archer learns that Asher told Sean about his condition. Soon, Archer has a chance to get Asher back when Asher's patient doesn't want her mother -- who is Archer's patient -- to know she is pregnant.
