In 1993, Greg Turner, his wife, and son wake up Jeanette and wish her a happy birthday. Derek plans to skip the family dinner to grab Boyz II Men tickets, but his parents want him to come back. Jeanette’s hair is long and wavy.

In 1994, Jeanette wakes up on her birthday by her boyfriend, Jamie. They tease about them hooking up and them not being virgins. Jamie convinced her parents to let him come up to her room. Jeanette’s hair is straight.

In 1995, Jeanette is woken up by her father stating that her lawyer is there to talk to her. Her hair is much shorter and abruptly cut.

The lawyer cautions Jeanette to cooperate and work together to win the case.

In 1993, Jeanette is riding her bike with Mallory and Vince. Mallory talks about wanting to do something illegal; Vinca is down, but Jeanette only wants to do something small and not immoral. The trio takes photos in the photo booth.

Jeanette looks at a booth while her friend grabs her a gift. She spots Kate at a nearby booth and compliments her purse; she’s all embarrassed while talking to her. Jamie is Kate’s boyfriend and they flirt. Mallory and Vince get her a gift.

In 1994, Jamie and Jeanette are making out. Jeanette is now friends with Kate’s two best friends. She tells them about how she lost her virginity to Jamie.

Jaime’s friend Ben talks to him about Kate. They think Kate has run away.

In 1995, Jeanette is watching an old news report of Kate’s disappearance. Jamie is in a car watching Jeanette’s place; he has a gun in the car. Vince calls Jeanette to warn him that Jamie is outside. She doesn’t think things will ever get back to normal.

In 1995, Greg is talking to Angela while she’s working behind the bar. It’s revealed that she and Greg have been dating for four months.

Back in 1993, Jeanette is sharing a late-night cake with her dad. She acknowledges that she’s a nerd and jokes that someday she’ll be popular and cool. She makes a wish on a new candle.

In 1994, Jeanette and Jamie arrive at home on her birthday. A gunshot is heard during the night; Vince warns them that it’s a gunshot.

In 1995, Jeanette views the news report; a segment of Jamie is shown where he begs for Kate to come home. Angela comes back to visit Greg. She offers to listen to Jeanette, but Jeanette coldly brushes her off. Even being rejected, she offers to talk with Jeanette; Jeanette apologizes.

In 1993 & 1994, Jeanette is placing items at her mirror and getting ready. The scene shifts to 1995 where Jeanette is sad in her room. All three Jeanettes are in bed trying to sleep.

In 1993, Jeanette, Mallory, & Vince visit Greg’s workplace; they secretly steal a key so they can break into an abandoned house. Mallory jokes about Greg being hot. The trio play hide and seek in the house.

In 1995, a news report at 324 Huntington Road is shown warning of a terrible crime that happened at the abandoned house.

In 1994, Mallory and Vince talk about Jeanette losing her virginity; it’s revealed that Vince had a crush on Jeanette. Mallory is mad at Jeanette; she talks about Kate being a terrible person before her disappearance.

In 1993, Jeanette searches around the house for the houses; she finds a set of mirrors in the basement. She bumps into Martin, the new owner of the house; she creates a distraction so her friends can escape. Martin reveals he’s the new assistant principal at Skyland High School.

In 1995, Jeanette views another video recording of a news report; the report shows Kate’s two best friends sad and missing their friend. Another recording shows Mallory talking to the reporter; it’s revealed that her and Kate used to be best friends before she became popular. Kate throws a pillow at the TV.

In 1994, while Jeanette is shopping with her new friends, Mallory and Vince find her in the store. Mallory teases Jeanette about losing her virginity and ditching them. Jeanette tells Mallory to reach out to her if she’s mad and wants to talk; she said Mallory is full of rage. Mallory leaves the story angrily.

Jeanette is mad because the nation hates her and makes fun of her; she reveals her dad doesn’t like her and paints over the graffiti every day. She says she’ll make an effort to be how the lawyers want her to be.

In 1994, it’s revealed that Kate was alive. Jeanette and her friends run to Jamie’s house. In a rage, Jamie punches her.

A news report shows Kate was abducted and kept prisoner at Martin’s house. Martin was killed by the police to free Kate.

In 1993, Derek apologizes to Jeanette for not making it to her birthday dinner. Jeanette keeps the copy of Martin’s house key and her friendship necklace.

In 1995, Jeanette watches the recording of Kate’s first interview about her kidnapping. Jeanette fast-forwards through the tape to the most important moment: she reveals Jeanette found her as a prisoner and didn’t tell anyone about it. Jeanette left her to suffer and took over her life.
