Sofia wakes up surprised to see Massimo at her apartment. He tells her that Dominic's lawyer got Carrie out of prison. Massimo is going after the papers that Edward gave to the police. Massimo notes he's being tailed. Oliver's badge doesn't work when he gets to NYL. He's being detained, along with Eleanor and Kalim. Alex meets Massimo in the parking garage. Dominic informs them Chris is promoted to deputy CEO and Paul is named head of trading, demoting Massimo.  Dominic informs Massimo that he will eventually get his job back. Sofia meets Duval at Subterranea's headquarters. He orders her to reel in Massimo. Massimo has Rigby investigate Sofia. Nina unexpectedly visits Massimo. She admits she told Carrie to leave him. She tells him to move forward, just like she's had to. Massimo agrees to be Duval's mole inside NYL in exchange for Edward's files. Massimo visits Bale, who has been demoted. He wants Ed's papers and offers Duval in exchange. Dominic summons Oliver. He has Oliver explain how to ruin public perception of financially failing European countries. Rigby reports on Sofia to Massimo. Massimo didn't remember that NYL had made a fortune when the Buenos Aires banks defaulted at his insistence. Massimo tells Bale of his meeting spot with Duval. But the cops threaten to arrest Sofia as well and Massimo feels responsible about what happened to her brother. So he speeds away, outrunning the cops and warning Sofia. He lies to Bale and Winks, saying Duval didn't show up. Massimo is left without the documents. Duval is waiting for Massimo when he gets home. Duval convinces Massimo that they are alike. Duval warns him that the economic bubble is about to burst. Subterranea leaks Oliver's report, as Dominic intended. Sofia brings Massimo Edward's documents, stolen from Bale's apartment.
