- It opens with Margaret Monreaux walking away from her family home that is in flames and saying "burn in hell."
- A southern religious family prepare for the launch of their retail line on their Christian TV network.
- They make the grand announcement and celebrate, but Eugene Monreaux tells his wife, Margaret, that he has business, so he needs to take a flight out.
- He's on his flight, partying with young women when the plane goes down, and he's presumed dead.
- The family lawyer, Franklin Lee, shares Eugene's will. It turns out that when he's drunk, he woud have his will changed to include three illegitmate children. That will is in effect.
- Margaret subpoenas each kid. There is a MMA fighter and trainer and single dad, Antonio, from Queens. Ginger, is the the head of a cam fetish company in Vegas, and Jason is a weed dealer in Colorado.
- They all arrive in New Orleans to sit down with Margaret.
- Margaret and Eugene's filterless son immediately tells them that he will fight the will and they will not have any parts of his family's fortune.
- Thanks to the hostile treatment, Ginger knows they have money and won't be bought off or screwed out of what she knows they're worth and won't let her brothers take the deal offered.
- They have to take a DNA test, but Jason's is contaminated. later, he's shown visiting a mysterious unconscious man in the hospital and putting a dropper to his lips.
- Margaret invites Ginger to a function and humiliates her in front of everyone. Then later, she invites all of them to stay at the family mansion.
- Meanwhile, Reverend Paul Thomas who is big on their network wants Margaret to name a CEO, and Margaret's son, Eric, has shared with his wife Becky and his brother in law Reverend about the illegitimate children.
- Eric expects to be CEO, but when Margaret tells him he's not ready for it, he plots with Reverend to expose the family secret on the live programming on the network. Margaret stops him in time.
- Margaret names herself CEO with the help of Franklin.
- Margaret's daughter, Rose, is open to the new siblings and connects with Ginger over being caretakers with their moms. She also laments not being able to start her own fashion line and her mother never crediting her for all of her fashion work.
- Rose also connects with Jason, who actually kisses her at one point.
- Ginger negotiates a deal where all the children get five percent of the the fortune.
- Margaret or Franklin forge a letter to Ginger from Eugene to tug at her hearstrings but she realizes it's a ruse. She plans to tell the press who she and her brothers really are, but Antonio tells Margaret.
- Margaret calls a press conference with her family. Eric thinks it's to announce that he will be CEO after Reverend Paul tries to blackmail her into making Eric CEO. Instead, Margaret introduces the new kids to the world and announces that they are Eugene's kids. Antonio and Ginger are called to the stage, but Jason bolts.
- Margaret rubs in that he has the upperhand to Ginger, but Ginger's mother arrived, and Ginger joins her at the end of the aisle.
- Eugene wakes up in a bed somewhere in Lousiana. He's alive.
