Sam and Jay interview a new candidate for an assistant position. Freddie is a recent graduate who wants to learn how to run a B&B; he's impressed by Sam and Jay.

Freddie impresses Sam and Jay. Sam offers him a job, which he accepts.

Thorfinn's son Bjorn is trapped in the neighbor's home. Bjorn says he's being bullied by the housewife ghost.

Sasappis, Flower, and Isaac discover a ghost sleeping in Freddie's car. Jessica is a car ghost; she died in a car accident and cannot be more than 5 feet from the car. Jessica died after brunch with her friends.

Sam is training Freddie about the business. Alberta and Hetty are upset that Freddie will be around the manor for many days and hours.

Pete gives Thorfinn advice on how Bjorn can deal with his bully. Thorfinn wants Bjorn to use his words to hurt the bully.

The ghosts are blown away by discovering a car ghost. Jessica tells Sam and the ghosts that Freddie killed her with his car.

Jessica reveals Freddies hit her with his car, she flew into the windshield, and Freddie dumped her body before driving away. Sasappis is flirting with Jessica.

Sam tells Jay the truth about Freddie; he's impressed by the idea of a car ghost. Sam wants to fire Freddie, but Jay is unsure since Freddie is a great assistant. Sam and Jay come to terms that they need to fire Freddie.

Pete gives Bjorn advice that he needs to tell his bully how it's making him feel. Thorfinn is upset because he thinks Pete is trying to take his son away from him.

Sam and Jay fire Freddie.

Jessica reveals she has a ghost power to make the car alarm go off. The ghosts catch her in a lie and she reveals that Freddie never killed her. She previously owned the car, crashed her car while drunk, and Freddie bought the car used.

Freddie starts crying in his car. Alberta, Hetty, and Isaac feel guilty for hurting Freddie; Sasappis is too infatuated with Jessica that he doesn't mind making her happy.

Sam and Jay are drowning in problems at the B&B without Freddie; they have to cancel date night. The ghosts tell Sam the truth that Jessica caused her death, not Freddie. The ghosts tell Sam that they missed her and didn't want to share her. Sam and Jay want Freddie back.

Thorfinn confronts Pete about his advice to Bjorn. Pete tells Thorfinn he had a dad who was similar to him; Thorfinn realizes he needs to listen to Bjorn and help him.

Sam and Jay order a bunch of burritos in the hopes of Freddie appearing. Freddie arrives; Sam and Jay apologize to him and ask him to come back. Freddie agrees and takes his position back.

Thorfinn apologizes to Bjorn for his advice. Bjorn tells Thorfinn that his bully has made amends and she liked him. Thorfinn tries to give him "the talk."
