Amelia prepares to operate on Dr. Herman. She nervously gives herself a pep talk in the bathroom. Owen informs her the gallery will be full, adding to the pressure. 

Amelia gets stuck in surgery and Richard comes in to assist. Amelia tells him she's in over her head and asks him to call Derek and have him fly to Seattle. 

Richard tells her that this is her surgery and she doesn't need his help. Hours go by and Amelia clears the optical nerve. After insisting earlier that she didn't need a break, Stephanie passes out. Meredith scrubs in to take her place. 

The next part involves radiation and they're under time constraints before exposure becomes an issue. Amelia struggles with her gloves and takes them off, exposing herself to the radiation. 

Dr. Herman gives Arizona last minute advice for her surgery. Bailey is shocked to find out that Arizona plans to perform the surgery herself. Arizona and Bailey argue over what to do in surgery. Bailey wants to deliver the baby, but Arizona thinks she can handle the procedure without delivering. 

Alex arrives and agrees with Bailey to deliver the baby saying he'll keep him alive. Arizona tells Bailey she's doing the procedure and to either get on board or get out. 

They almost lose the baby but they're able to get him back. After the surgery Bailey compliments Arizona. 

Callie comes to talk to Arizona about Dr. Herman's surgery. Arizona tells her she can't bear to watch and Callie comforts her. 

Arizona and Bailey's patient is released from the hospital. 

Dr. Herman hasn't woken up yet and Amelia is working non-stop trying to figure out why. Stephanie discovers she had a stroke from one of her scans. 

Arizona struggles with the possibility of needing to make decisions if she doesn't wake up. Callie assures her she's not alone. 

Dr. Herman wakes up alive and tumor-free, but she's completely blind.
