- Bailey is burnt out and Catherine catches her speaking to Jordan poorly and reprimands her about it.
- Owen and Teddy return to work and it's Owen's first day. As he's saying goodbye to Leo, he calls him a cowboy and Leo announces that he's a girl. Teddy tells him that it' just pretend.
- It's Levi's first day back and he runs into Nico, but they don't speak
- The accredation council tell Catherine that they're looking into more of her hospitals.
- Other doctors have jumped ship and Maggie teases Mer about choosing to leave when things started falling apart.
- Addison shows up.
- Link thinks that Jo is trying too hard to like Todd.
- Owen tries to talk to Teddy about Leo and her reaction, and she starts saying he's confused and needs therapy before they're interrupted by a patient, Colin, brought in because his arm got severed off and his gf has the arm with her.
- WEndell gives a presentation about the latest med tech and Maggie suggests they use some of it to try it which makes Wendell excited and leaves Winston wary.
- Addison checks on Tovah and worries that the hospitals' issues may be too much for her patient. Tova has some possible issues.
- They can't do surgery on Colin when he codes on the table and has to get revived.
- Owen is determined to save the arm anyway
- Bailey wants Jo to return to General Surgery attending for the hospital's sake because of the shortage
- Winston is annoyed when the equipment that Wendell is pitching doesn't work
- Owen uses a military technique that hasn't been cleared for civilian use to save the arm. Teddy is concerned and also still wants to talk about Leo, but Owen dismisses it.
- Link apologizes to Jo and she invites him to dinner with her and Todd to talk about Bailey's offer
- Bailey calls Jordan in and has him talk about his process before giving him referral back to the Minnesota program. She wants to protect him in case the residency program fails because he deserves a spot somewhere.
- They perform a major on the fly surgery as a last ditch effort to save Tova, the baby, and the uterus, and it works, but then the baby dies and they have to do a DNC.
- Wendell tells Winston that he invested in this product and had a loan of ten grand. He tells Winston he has to help him sell the fault equipment or pay back the loan
- Owen gets the arm working.
- Catherine goes in to confront Meredith about leaving and Addison blows up because of all the arguing.
- Levi says the Mourner's Kaddish with Tova.
- Addison reminds Webber that her residency days weren't perfect and that the culture was toxic back then and he needs to find a new way to teach surgeons.
- Todd gives good advice to Jo about the Bailey situation saying she can handle both and Link begrudgingly agrees. He realizes that Todd is a nice guy and that Jo really does like him
- Teddy and Owen talk about Leo again and she expresses her concerns about Leo's age and Owen suggests they get a therapist for themselves to figure out how to navigate this and that they shouldn't be their kid's first bully
- Nico still gives Levi the cold shoulder despite his plea.
