A flash forward reveals Durant is broke, and even sells his Gold Spike ring so he can pretend to have money when meeting Colis. He later dies alone writing a letter.

John Campbell is brought in to deal with the kidnapping.

Louise investigates the books and learns that Durant is broke.

Mickey tries to come up with a plan to keep them from getting caught.

Johnny proves to be a wildcard, even threatening to kill Durant.

Campbell decides not to pay the ransom.

Louise sells her hotel for money and brings it to the drop. Johnny shoots her when its too little. Mickey shoots Johnny.

Campbell interrogates Durant and Mickey, but gets no info. Johnny is believed to have run away.

Durant pays off the ranchers.

Mickey is distraught from his actions and has sex with Eva.
