On Jane the Virgin Season 1 Episode 16, Jane tries to move past Rafael's failed proposal, but feels as if he can not let go of it. He throws himself into work as he and Petra try to find someone to play at the Marbella. Petra discovers Rogelio knows someone who could perform and asks Rafael to ask for a favor.
When Rogelio and Xo find the perfect house, Xo breaks the news to Alba who has a better reaction than expected. Meanwhile, Rogelio has issues at work and asks Michael to shadow him on the job to learn more about how to be a proper cop to help in his acting job as a space cop.
Also, Jane attends a writing workshop where she meets am author she admires and other aspiring writers who could change her life.
