On a train, a guy tells a kid to wake up and go to the bathroom. The kid says leave me alone. He makes him drink water. There's some guy behind the kid, who looks half out of it. The guy on the phone says that kid is a heroin addict. The conductor comes to collect tickets. The kid writes something on the back of a ticket and throws it to the guy behind him. The note says CALL NYPD.

Fin isn't happy that Curry has joined the squad. He says that Benson has been obsessive about Maddie. Bruno tells her about the kid on the train. Benson looks at the photo of the oped up kid and says that's not a boy. She puts the photo next to a photo of Maddie and insists they're the same.

Benson calls but she can't get approval to go to Pittsburgh. Velasco says that the guy didn't turn in the ticket for 3 days. Benson wants to know who was on the train. Gin still doesn't like Curry but Benson wants him to focus. Benson calls Maddie's mother and finds out Peter is doing better. She wants her to come in.

Benson tells the parents what she thinks. She doesn't want to give them false hope but she wants them to know the information she has.

The mother thinks it looks like Maddie, the father isn't sure. He asks to see the note. He says this is Maddie's handwriting. Pittsburgh SVU calls. Benson thanks them for proving she's not imagining things.

Pitssburgh SVU gives an update. They send a photo of the guy who was with the victim. They realize they need Tonya to give an ID.

Tanya is working at a fast food place. She IDs George but says she hasn't seen the little boy. She can tell Maddie has been drugged. He did it to her too. She says Buffalo is like a hub.

Benson wants to go to the airport to follow up on this lead. She tells FInn she's not waiting for permission.

In Pittsburgh, the cops have arrested the drug dealer and his girlfriend who turned in the note. Agent Sykes tells Benson she thought the victim was a boy.

The suspect is extremely uncooperative. Benson says they only vvare about finding Maddie.  The girlfriend says she found the note when doing the laundry. Her boyfriend said to leave it alone but she's not a pushover. He said it was just an addict being dragged to rehab. But she would do anything to help the girl from the news. She has a clean record and wants to keep it that way but she looked at Cash's phone and saw he had called George.

The cops have traced the phone and see George is on the train again, headed back to Pitssburgh. Benson gets a team together along with Sykes. George tries to run away. He claims not to know anything about Maddie. They cut open his bag. No sign of Maddie but a lot of money. Sykes gets in his face and Benson stops her from doing that.

George has lawyered up and claims he doesn't know where Maddie is. He has had a huge arrest record starting at age 17. Sykes accuses Carisi of being a blue-state DA who is afraid to go to the judge. Carisi says the eighth floor wants the case to be airtight. Carisi says he knows what the case means to Benson but it is a colander. They all want to find Maddie, they're all on the same side.

George is willing to talk but only to Sykes and Benson. George claims he didn't take Maddie, Benson lost her. The lawyer tells him to stop.

George says he will tell them where Maddie is if he gets a cell with a view of the mountains. Benson confronts him about Tanya. He says Sykes lost someone. Was it a boy or a girl?

Fin says they have found deleted texts showing who George sold Maddie to. They have a name. Sykes is staring at George.

Sykes and Benson go to find Fleming. All his victims are Maddie's age. Benson asks if she wants to talk about whatever's bothering her. Sykes does not. . They arrive at Fleming's home. There is no sign of Maddie or Leonard Fleming. Benson talks to a neighbor and gets a lead.

Sykes seems to be cold and when Benson pushes her she says Benson is projecting because she didn't stop the guy. Benson ignores that and asks Sykes who she lost. She says my sister. She disappeared on the way to the pool and cops found remains but it wasn't hers. Two years later some kids found Polaroids of her in some Playboys. The guy cut her hair too.

  The cops arrive and raid the new house. The place seems abandoned. They search anyway. Fin thinks they should wait for backup. Benson wants to see for herself. She hears whimpering as she calls Maddie's name. She finds her. Benson sees the suspect outside the window. She tells Sykes to take Maddie and chases after Fleming herself. He runs through the woods. She pulls her gun and he surrenders.

Maddie is sobbing and says he said he'd know if she moved from the leaves crunching. Sykes watches as Benson hugs Maddie.

At the hospital Maddie says George didn't touch her. She tried to fight but he had her so lost. She wasn't herself. Benson says you made it through and you're safe now. Sykes asks about Fleming. Maddie says he just watched her. Maddie's parents come. Maddie sobs

Benson tells the parents they will be doing a rape kit but it appears that Maddie was not sexually assaulted. Obviously Maddie has been throught a lot. THank God she has a good family. . Not everyone is that lucky. Maddie's mother thanks Benson and hugs her. Sykes is watching.

Sykes asks Benson to forget what she told her. Benson can't do that. Sykes says let's ignore it then.

Carisi says Fleming confessed and will do 25 years. He is working on a deal for George so Maddie doesn't have to deal with a trial.

Fin and Curry go to have a beer. Clay talks to Benson. She is so grateful for his help. He says that Sykes has worked for him for too long.

Sykes talks to Benson. She says she will be loaned out to SVU. Benson asks why. Sykes admits she's been bouncing all around the country. They are like her lost years.

1PP calls. There is a press conference acknowledging Benson, Sykes, and Agent Clay. The person speaking says Maddie's fight is his fight, together, as they heal.
