Law & Order: SVU Season 20 Episode 8 involves a chef who continually gets away with raping women. A waitress named Kayla is found to have been totally wasted and had her blouse ripped off. She claims she was not raped and remembers nothing. SVU quickly discovers that Kayla works for an upscale restaurant owned by Andrew Leibowitz, who claims that Kayla had consensual sex with him.
SVU's investigation leads to the discovery that a Brooklyn ADA named Chris Hodges declined to prosecute three previous cases against Leibowitz. Hodges is not forthcoming about why and seems to be genuinely interested in advocating for women's equality, leading the SVU team to wonder what is going on here.
Eventually, Stone discovers that Leibowitz and Hodges went to high school together, and when the case hits a dead end Benson leaks the story to the press. Soon, a woman shows up who claims Hodges raped her at a house party when she was 15.
Hodges vehemently denies this and agrees to wear a wire, leading to a surprising conclusion to this case.
Meanwhile, Benson's son continues to have behavior problems and refuses to eat the salad she's given him.
