An impromptu fencing match between Magnum and Higgins is interrupted by a call about a potential job. Bail bondsman Melvin Muchado hires them to track down Stella Torres, a woman who skipped out on her $250,000 bond. The first P.I. Melvin had hired, Jimmy Woo, has disappeared. Foster father T.C. is anxious on Cade's first day of 10th grade. Per Social Services' request, Katsumoto will spend the day trying to track down Cade's mother, Monica Jenson. T.C. asks to tag along. Stella was in regular contact with narcotics cop Wayne Nix. Stella was his informant. He tells them Stella left for the mainland shortly after she made bail. Higgins determines that Stella's social-media photos are old and that she likely hasn't left Hawaii. They find Woo near death at the house where Stella has been staying. Lia draws the attempted-murder assignment. Higgins figures out that Stella hasn't been there in some time. Woo, who dies en route to the hospital, had texted Melvin a license-plate number. That plate is registered to Nix. Higgins tells Lia what they discovered. Magnum picks up Rick and heads for Stella's latest hideout. They capture Stella, pregnant with Nix's baby. Nix has been ripping off drug dealers. An addict friend of Monica's says she died in a fire. Nix and other dirty cops show up to take Stella. Lia and Higgins find a nursery at Nix's house. Magnum, Rick, and Stella go through the jungle to a nearby house. Nix's crew arrives and cuts the power. Stella's water breaks. Magnum cuts down the odds with the homeowner's compound bow. Rick shoots a fifth cop while handling Stella's delivery. Magnum recycles an arrow and takes down Nix. Higgins and Lia go out for drinks. T.C. tells Cade about his mother's death.
