Magnum and Higgins' new client is Judge Rachel Park. She has been nominated for a seat on the Hawaii Supreme Court. Park is also being blackmailed with an old video, from when she worked as an escort to pay for law school 20 years ago. Rick locates the judge's former madam, Sheila. She says she is not blackmailing the judge. She added that a tattooed woman  threatened her about Park a couple of weeks earlier. The judge gets a text demanding that she throw the trial of Owen Reed, a man accused of murdering his business partner. Katsumoto gives them the name of the tattooed woman, Maya. T.C. doesn't like any of the ideas from RIck's restaurant-efficient expert. Higgins and Magnum break into Reed's lawyer's office to get a lead on Maya. The police, tipped off by Maya, show up and arrest Thomas and Juliet. Magnum calls Kumu for bail. The motion to exclude the texts gets moved up. Maya awaits Higgins and Magnum at their car. Maya tries to pay them off to walk away. They decide that an investor from Reed's hedge fund has hired Maya. Kumu shoots down Rick's ideas to remodel a landmark. Higgins discovers that the money paid to Maya came from the dead partner's account, likely from his widow, Anna. She's blackmailing the judge to get the innocent Owen off. Magnum reads in Katsumoto, who gets a message to the judge. Rachel recesses the trial. Gordon is monitoring Anna's call to Maya. They both are arrested by HPD. Kumu wants to get La Mariana declared a historic landmark. Maya, who recorded everything, flips on Anna. Reed is freed, Anna is charged, and Maya gets off for cooperating. Rachel holds a press conference to disclose her past. The charges get dropped against Magnum and Higgins.
