Recap

The court hears a case against John Ot who disrupted a drag show. He has a character witness, Brock, who testifies John codes for his app. Brock then pitches his app as a revolutionary way for people to meet.

He suggests that his app – Arranged Marriage without the vowels, Rrgd Mrrg – will only match you with one perfect person. Abby cuts him off when he begins to take questions.

In the cafeteria, Abby scoffs at the idea of the Rrgd Mrrg. Dan argues that it might be a great investment opportunity. Gurgs pitches her chair-sharing app.

In the courtroom, Neil’s trying to use Brock’s app to prove he and Abby belong together.

Olivia looks up Brock and decides he’s her future husband.

In her chambers, Abby’s vid-chatting with Rand while reviewing the files on Brock and John. She discovers Brock was once convicted of fraud for ripping off his investors. She realizes the files on his fraud conviction were sealed. While it’s okay she saw them, she can’t tell anyone about it.

Dan comes in to tell Abby about how much it’ll cost to invest with Brock. He’s assembling a group to buy-in at fifty thousand dollars.

Dan’s pitching the gang on the app investment. Abby comes in to try to discourage them without letting anything slip about what she’s seen.

Dan tracks down Abby to ask what’s going on with her. Abby refuses to tell him why he shouldn’t invest in Brock. Dan puts her through a test where she can only answer, “No,” and manages to discern the truth.

Dan still plans on investing with Brock and doesn’t plan to tell the gang. Abby’s shocked and disappointed.

Dan takes the gang to the investors’ party. Abby arrives too, planning to introduce everyone to Esther, one of Brock’s previous fraud victims.

Olivia tries to chat up Brock. Brock tries to extract himself but when he mistakes something Olivia says for a Star Wars reference, he becomes interested. Olivia needs Neil to translate the nerd talk.

Gurgs pitches her chair-share app to some of Brock’s potential investors. Abby tries to encourage her to keep investing in herself. She tells her she should talk with her friend, Esther, but then notices Dan chatting up Esther.

Dan’s convinced Esther that Brock’s new app is a guaranteed cash cow. Abby receives a message that the files are now unsealed. Dan begs her not to announce Brock’s past fraud activity. Abby blurts it out, and everyone hears.

Brock admits that he committed fraud in the past and offers a piece of the new company to all his past victims, free of charge, except for Esther who is in violation of a restraining order by being at the party.

Brock asks Abby and the courthouse gang to all leave. He doesn’t want their investment in his company.

Abby approaches Dan in the cafeteria to check if he’s forgiven her. He admits this is the first time he’s lost out on an opportunity because someone cared about him.

Olivia arrives and announces that Brock’s app has been bought by Mark Zuckerberg for two billion dollars. Dan gets up and walks through a plate glass door.

In her chambers, Gurgs brings a guy in to sit in Abby’s chair and then directs him to another one. Abby floats a plan to win money to make it up to the gang. She says Neil’s so upset, he can’t even look at her. Gurgs comments that he’s not mad at her, he’s in love with her. Abby’s shocked.
