Recap

Tariq and Brayden get fitted for suits, with Davis looking on, while Effie makes her drops at various campuses and Cane and Lorenzo make theirs on the streets.

Cane oversees a Lorenzo beating at one of the drops, and Dru engages in random hookups after the breakup with Everett.

Tariq, Brayden, Effie, and Cane are called to the warehouse and told they’re not moving Noma’s product fast enough. If they can’t deliver one million dollars soon, their family members will be killed.

Whitman continues his crusade against Monet while Jenny and Blanca try to get him to focus on the open murders they can use to show the killings are protecting the drug business.

Effie tells Tariq she wants to start moving product through Stansfield again, and he supports her.

After class, Salim tells Diana he googled her dad and that he likes her. They’re approached by Cane, who comes to give Diana a gun, which she doesn’t take, and some cash. He then invites her to dinner at the penthouse.

Whitman visits Monet’s bar and leaves his business card, wanting her to confess to Carrie’s murder. He also vows to look into the contractor who fixed her bar after the shooting.

Monet swiftly goes to Davis’s office, and they decide to meet with Whitman. She also gives Davis a new burner phone after telling him about the calls and hang-ups from the old one, which he denies doing.

Cane, Dru, Diana, and Lorenzo meet at the penthouse, and Cane catches them up on the situation with Noma’s product. Cane’s plan is to kill the Castillo boys and take their Brooklyn territory. Dru is against the idea, as the boys were like family to them growing up, and he thinks they should take out their connect and force their hand. Cane agrees and takes the reigns of the operation with Lorenz’s approval.

Lucas brings Brayden and Tariq to a conference of influential people, where he tries to recruit a wealthy man named RSJ to Weston Holdings. Tariq meets with RSJ briefly, and he tells him to make sure he’s using Weston Holdings as much as their using him.

Whitman shows Monet and Davis proof of various people near Monet’s bar who have turned up dead when the three of them meet. Monet gets agitated and lets it slip that a GTG member killed Zeke.

After Whitman leaves, Davis tells Monet he will file a harassment complaint against Whitman.

Brayden brings Tariq to the new warehouse they’ll be using. Tariq explains the new operation, where they will run product through coffee orders. They will sell a better product on Wall Street at a better price. And they will collect their money via online orders using cryptocurrency.

Cane tasks Brayden with killing the Castillo’s Russian connect, as they need a white person to do it so the Castillos don’t suspect the Tejadas and the Russians don’t suspect the Castillos.

Davis and Monet call Tariq to the office and warn him about Whitman. They tell him to keep his head on a swivel and avoid the penthouse and Monet. Saxe catches the three of them talking and sneakily snaps a picture.

Brayden tells Effie and Tariq about Cane’s request, and the two vow to help Brayden.

Jenny gets Whitman off the case after his harassment filing.

Effie uses the roof to start making drops at Stansfield and is later approached by Diana, who confronts her about Tariq and continuing to push product on campus. Effie tells her to work with them, but Diana declines.

Saxe meets with Theo in jail and questions him over signing a plea deal when the alleged assailant was described as being taller than him. Before leaving, Theo lets it slip that Davis is his brother.

Tate and Harper catch up over coffee and share a kiss before Jenny and Blanca show up to talk to Tate. He tells them about Tariq interning at Weston Holdings.

Brayden approaches the Russian connect outside of his church, but he freezes when it’s time to kill him, fumbling to get his gun out, and Tariq comes from nearby to kill him before his men get there. Tariq, Brayden, and Effie then run to a nearby restaurant and sit for dinner.

While Brayden hyperventilates and tells Cane the job is done, Tariq tells Effie that he wants them to work together and become a team like his parents were, but better.

The Castillo brothers come to the penthouse, and Dru recognizes Gordo as one of his Grindr matches.

The brothers question Cane about killing the connect, which he denies. And after some back and forth, they agree to work together. Dru becomes upset at Lorenzo proclaiming Cane to be in charge, and Cane gives Lorenzo extra weight to move.

Saxe confronts Davis about Theo, and Davis admits he was the one who committed the crime, and he and his family felt it best for Theo to take the blame. Saxe still agrees to help him get Theo out.

Salim and Diana kiss but are interrupted by Lorenzo, who comes to campus and gives her the extra weight to sell on campus. She agrees.

Whitman sits outside Monet’s house, and she reports back to Davis.

Cane calls Brayden to meet and holds him at gunpoint, demanding to know who actually killed the connect. Brayden says it wasn’t Tariq, and after Cane presses him on Lauren’s death, he continues to keep quiet. Cane eventually lets him go and then leaves a voicemail message for Effie.

I'm the emotional one, cause it sure seems like you two have a boner for the St. Patrick kid.

Kevin

Kevin: Okay, you know what, what is it with you two and this fucking kid, okay? Monet killed Carrie. She was one of us. Remember?
Jenny: Okay, um, just take it easy because you're getting real emotional right now.
