Stressed Madeline washes her face while remembering Bellows' opening statement. Violet says on her podcast that they are fighting for Madeline's freedom with everything they have.

The team reviews the case. Easy says they might be able to go for lack of sufficient evidence. Maddie said what about Levi? What if Bellows got to him? Easy says if Levi lies he will expose it. 

There are reporters in the courtroom. Flashbacks of the first time this happened. Maddie is rude to Susan,t he reporter, who then tells Bellows to get her.

Evidence is given about the lantern. Heather claims the lantern was Maddie's. She claims she joked about how gross it was when she saw Maddie carrying it. She says Maddie was acting strange, like she was on drugs.

Easy says Heather never mentioned this before -- didn't she think it was important? He suggests it didn't happen. The judge won't allow Easy to go after Heather for perjury. Easy calls Heather a liar and gets threatened with contempt.

Apparently Linda quit. She got a package and took off.

Bodie gets surveillance footage. It was from an anonymous service. Easy thinks it's witness tampering. Sarah also backs out of testifying.

Maddie an Easy talk to Sarah. She is being blackmailed by sex tapes.

Easy calls for a mistrial. He thinks Heather did it. The judge denies it because she can't see the tapes for herself.

Bodie hangs out with Nathan. There's a knock on the door. It's CPS. She doesn't like that their are swords on the wall. She insists on coming in. 

Castro freaks out when she hears about it. She says if Daniella can prove she's even a little bit fit she will lose custody to her.

Levi takes the stand. He does not respond to Bellows' question, then says he doesn't remember. Bellows treats him as hostile. He keeps saying he can't remember an that Bellows is the one who said these things not him. Levi chooses to be iheld in contempt because Bellows is corrupt.

Maddie sees Levi in jail. He says he was protecting her and that she was acting weird that night like she was on drugs. Maddie says she never did drugs. Levi said he knows, but she was acting odd and maybe had been slipped something. Maddie worries that she might have one it while drugged against her will. Levi says she didn't.

Maddie tells Easy she's feeling lost. Easy says they will fight back with everything they've got. Maddie says what do they have? Bellows is kicking their ass. Easy says he's not daunted because Maddie is innocent and he won't lose her. He says Heather is a new alternate suspect. Madie doesn't think Heather is the killer.  Maybe she was a victim of the sex cult too. Maddie realizes Ravi is still alive.

It's five days before the election. Bellows is up in the polls. Suddenly Heather shows up at Maddie's and says she needs to talk to her. She says she got a tape too.

Heather says it's true, there is a cult. Ravi made them feel special and they did anything he wanted. Heather says that the night Rosemary died Ravi wanted Maddie. Rosemary was protecting Maddie from him. Heather is sorry. Maddie isn't sure she can forgive her. But she is sorry for what happened to Heather too though. 

Heather didn't think Ravi showed up that night. She thought Maddie was guilty til she got the tape. She thought Ravi was dead. Toby said so. He died in a fire with 14 other people. Toby did Ravi's dirty work. Maddie realizes that's why Toby committed suicide -- he knew Ravi killed Rosemary.

Nathan is upset to be moving back to his mom's. Bodie promises to still b e in his life. Castro doesn't want Nathan to see her cry. Bodie says second Danielle screws up it's back to court.

Maddie finds a phony death certificate for Ravi. SHe decides to talk to Toby's sister, Zoe. She doesn't know why Toby killed himself. VIolet hopes they can find out.

Toby was broke. Bodie wrestles with a struck drawer full of HandiCam tapes. Maybe it's more sex tapes.

Violet finds something on the tapes.

In court Easy calls Rosemary. They play a tape of Rosemary saying she wanted to roofie Madeline. She wants to knock her out so Ravi can't touch her.

Bellows looks mad after viewing the tape. Easy makes a speech to the jury.

Bellows makes his closing. He says Maddie had the murder weapon and the tape shows that Madeline had a motive and killed Rosemary for sleeping with her boyfriend.

Maddie makes her own closing. She says Rosemary was her best friend and Ravi killed her. She says there are two tragedies: Rosemary's death and the travesty of the first trial. The jury can end these tragedies by finding her not guilty.

Rick thinks Bellows has a lot of balls fast tracking this case before the election. Bellows says this case wouldn't go away, he had to do this.  Rick hopes he wins.

Maddie comes in and Bellows introduces her to Rick. Maddie wants to talk to Bellows. SHe wants Bellows to be honest with her: would he have prosecuted her if he wasn't running for attorney general? He says yes. Maddie says she forgives him. She realizes this is just who he is -- he doesn't have a soul anymore.  He offers her 15 years for manslaughter. She says he didn't hear a word she said. He says he actually likes her. She says she didn't kill Rosemary and they would both go to their graves knowing that's true.

Jury is back. Madeline is found not guilty! Bellows slinks away. Maddie huggs Easy. Maddie's mom hugs her. Violet hugs her. Everyone hugs her. Maddie kisses Wren.

Bodie finally has an arrest record for Ravi. This will tell us who he is. Maddie hesitates. She says OMG.

Maddie goes to see Bellows. Ravi is Rick. He targeted Bellows to cover his tracks. Bellows shows her the same file. He found out this morning. He tells her he's sorry. She says she already forgave him. She gave it to reporters. Bellows acknowledges that Maddie beat him. He says justice will be served.

Bellows goes and stands ant a precipice and remembers Maddie's original conviction. Rick meets him there. Bellows confronts Rick and says his teenage victims identified him. Bellowas asks him how many were there? Ravi says it wasn't his fault, God made him this way and then led him to salvation so he created a pharmaceutical company that saved lives. Bellows calls him a murerer. He says he will take Bellows down with him and claim that Bellows knew who he was and let him pay him to prosecute Maddie. Bellows asks why he did it. Rick flashes back. Rosemary was going to tell everything. In the present he says don't worry about it, we can fix this. I'll disappear tonight and you won't have to worry about me again. Bellows says look down there at where we found the body. He says he can't let this go. He pushes Rick off the precipice! He then gives a press conference saying Rick committed suicide rather than be arrested and that Rick tried to manipulate him. He apologizes to Madeline. And with that, Bellows wins the election.

But Maddie realizes Bellows is a murderer...
