Queen of the South Season 5 Episode 5
Mas Dinero Mas Problemas
Boaz sends Teresa more cash than she can launder.
Oksana has a problem. She went behind Kostya’s back to do a side deal with Simon Durant, a black market antiquities dealer in Berlin, Germany, and he double-crossed her. He sold her a fake painting for a shipment of Molly. Now she has to hide it from Kostya.
Teresa offers to help Oksana, and they all fly to Berlin, where James steals a Van Gogh to lure Simon out. But when they approach Simon, he wants sexual favors from Teresa. Teresa breaks his nose and steals his gun.
Simon admits he’s already sold the Molly to an Algerian smuggler, Hakim Bajara. When Teresa and Oksana make a deal to buy the Molly back from Hakim, he decides to triple the price because they are women. A firefight breaks out, and Simon, Hakim, and his crew are all killed, leaving Teresa with the Molly and her money.
Teresa puts Oksana in touch with Oleg Stavinski to sell her Molly. Oleg balks at first because he’s Polish and doesn’t like to do business with Russians but eventually comes around. Oksana is grateful to Teresa for helping her secure the deal on her own, without Kostya.
Rocco is now dead, which means Teresa can begin doing business in Europe again. Oleg agrees to set up some meetings for her. Teresa buys the hotel they’re staying in in Berlin and plans to buy a bank to help her launder the overwhelming influx of cash.
Kelly Anne worries that she’ll lose her place in business now that she’s having a baby, but Teresa assures her that’s not an issue.
George shows up in Miami to party with Boaz, but he’s really there to make sure Boaz is still loyal and learn the Miami operation. Boaz realizes that George is there to spy on him and tells his cousin, Angel, to keep an eye on him.
Later, Boaz kills an associate who has turned on him in front of George to make a point about what he does to people he can’t trust.
