Recap

Charley is interviewed by Gayle King about her past, political future, and relationship with Davis. After the interview, she finds her hotel room filled with flowers, balloons, and a card from Davis saying he’s proud of her and loves her. Charley calls and gets his voicemail. She says she loves him too.

The Sheriff has a warrant saying they can excavate and search the Bordelon farm looking for bodies due to Nova writing in her book that Ernest killed two men and buried them on the property. The families of those men want answers.

Darla tells Ralph Angel that there is money sitting in an account that was meant to be used for her college which she never finished. She'd like to ask her parents if she can have it so that they can pay bills on the farm. Ralph Angel says he doesn't want Darla's mother or Aunt Vi to think they can't take care of themselves and he tells her he'll handle things.

With a crew digging up the farm, Ralph Angel takes a soil sample to get a baseline. He doesn’t trust that the Sheriff and his crew aren’t putting something in his soil instead of just searching for bodies. Ralph Angel’s soil test shows a massive amount of pesticide in the soil. Someone has already poisoned it. He believes it’s the Landrys.

Violet and Hollywood come over to support Ralph Angel and Darla. It appears as though human bones are found on the farm.

Billie tells Nova that Jimmy Dale lured her to a secluded spot when she was a teenager, but she was able to fight him off. But it didn’t matter because he told everyone how good she was in bed, and the entire town believed him. Nova apologizes, saying she was young and uneducated. She let Billie down, but she won’t let that happen again.

Billie tries to take care of her father, but Prosper is stubborn about eating enough and taking his medication on time. She realizes he has trouble taking care of his own personal needs, in which he does not want her help, so she hires a private nurse to come in. Prosper isn’t happy until he meets Sandy, his nurse, and he’s smitten.

Nova has a security system installed. Dominic says he’ll look out for her where he can. He says he and his brother were neglected by their mother. Social services took them away, and they grew up with their grandmother, who was strict but loved them fiercely.

Micah brings his girlfriend/professor, Jordana, flowers for her birthday. She says she isn’t looking for an emotional connection and breaks up with him. Micah’s friend encourages him to meditate.

Hollywood takes Gabriel fishing. It’s unclear which of them has more fun. Violet asks Celene to file divorce papers and get on with her life. Celene is afraid her husband will go crazy. She doesn’t know what he’ll do to her and Gabriel. Violet gives her the number of an attorney who works with women at the shelter.

Nova’s informant on the police force tells her that the top brass are gunning for her, and they know he’s been talking to her. It wouldn’t surprise him if they’ve been listening in on her calls. He warns her to be careful. Before, she was just a pain in their ass. Now, she’s seen as an enemy.
