Rizzoli & Isles Season 7 Episode 7 involves an unusual situation or two. Instead of investigating together, Maura investigates with Frankie while Jane is at Quantico giving a lecture to a class of FBI trainees.

Jane is not happy to be going to Quantico. She is nervous about her talk, especially after a student comments he wishes a male detective were speaking instead. She continually video chats with Maura about it. Maura convinces her that she will do great and that she has a crush on the head of the department, Special Agent Davies.

Meanwhile, an explosion occurs when a biker is hit by a car and Frankie is disappointed to find it is not spontaneous combustion, but a bomb in a water bottle. However, the bomb was created out of melted fat so Frankie can dub it the Fat Bomb, which Maura doesn't like.

Maura and Frankie's investigation leads them to a Botox specialist who was illegally retrieving fat after dumping it and a chemist who was helping the victim run a meth lab.

While this is going on, Angela searches for a new apartment so she can feel more independent.
