Meanwhile, an electrical short in the subtrain causes the brakes to seize and requires the motor to be replaced.
Josie moves Layton from Zarah's to the medical car where Dr. Pelton helps them. When questioned, she explains that every passenger on board has a file and about one in ten has a red mark in their file, indicating they are destined for the Drawers. When she discovered that she is one of marked, she decided she needed to help Layton's crew.
Layton steals Josie's chip and tries to kill Cavill but she talks her way out of it, begging to be allowed to fix the train.
Till and Osweiller are locked down in the prisoner holding car and she tells him that she won't let him extort her.
Cavill climbs under the train to reconnect a sensor for the hydraulics system. She succeeds but it's Bennett and Boscovic who get the credit. Third Class celebrates their success and the strike seems to be averted.
Till returns to Jinju's quarters but isn't able to share what's happened.
Layton and Josie hide out in Dr. Pelton's quarters where they have sex.
Cavill asks Miles to do her a favor.
