Danny and Lisa talk about what body parts they could live without. Danny says it is his chin. Lisa says it’s her knees. Danny’s neighbor, Adam, tells the story about his uncle’s friend who had the tip of his nose cut off. His uncle stuck it in his mouth to keep it fresh until it could be reattached.

Adam shops for food for Danny’s date with Amy. He’s invited her to his place for dinner but hasn’t told her he never leaves his home.

Amy says Danny doesn’t have to make a meal, as they can just have Chinese delivered. The date goes amazingly well. They laugh a lot, swapping stories about their weird neighbors.

Meanwhile, with Veggie getting home late from a work trip, Lisa is bored and can’t call Danny. But she does call multiple times to check on how his date is going, and Danny takes every phone call and gives her updates.

Danny tells Lisa that Amy is the funniest person he knows. Lisa seems insecure about this. She signs into Danny’s dating app and reads the private messages between Danny and Amy.

Veggie gets home. Lisa offers to cook but burns the meal. Lisa wants to hear about his trip, but all of his stories are boring, even the ones he thinks are funny.

Separately, Danny and Amy, Lisa and Veggie play Spicy Talk, where they have to answer personal questions.

Lisa and Veggie are having fun, but Veggie cuts it short because he wants to work out in the morning.

Lying in bed awake, she remembers that the worst date she ever had was with Veggie.

Later, Lisa calls her mom to ask if she’s funny. Her mom can see something else is going on. She tells Lisa that Veggie is a great guy who treats Lisa and Poppy well, and, in some ways, perhaps that makes up for his personality. But Lisa shouldn’t feel guilty for questioning if it does not.

After a fun evening, Amy leaves Danny. He asks her out again, and he’s shocked when she turns him down. She likes him, but he spent half the night talking about his ex, Lisa. Danny explains that Lisa isn’t his ex, just his mate. Amy says she hates to break it to him, but they're not just mates.

Just as Amy leaves, Danny ends up closing the door on her finger, and the tip is cut off. As Amy screams, Danny pops the tip into his mouth.

Danny and Lisa end up listening to voicemail messages they’ve left one another that make them smile.
