Recap

Kendall arrives at the Waystar offices. He's met by Hugo to smooth and welcome him home. There is additional manpower, and he tells them to fuck off. Ken wants to check in and then head to the plane.

Hugo wants a photo op with Ken and Roman getting in the plane. Once upstairs, he gets a round of applause after he stops for a moment to see his dad's empty office.

Roman is already there and hanging with the peeps. They don't look familiar. Roman has someone call in Shiv. Kendall sent a bunch of emails with a final one that said ignore all the others. Roman thanks him for putting him through all that.

Gerri and Karl pop in, and they are not all that welcome. As they're talking, Matsson asks that everyone attend the meeting. Cultural compatibility. Shiv already feels left out. She didn't even get the group text.

Greg and Tom arrive at the plane talking like they do, with Greg sounding like an outlandish teen with too much power. Tom's worried about the cast of Bugsy Malone over there. Tom gets on the plane to Frank and Karl messing with thier socks and feet. Gross.

With a blatant disregard of their carbon footprint, the whole gang takes two jets instead of one.

Shiv wonders if they should be worried about the dad stuff because there's been more. Kendall and Roman are talking about other things that fly right over my head.

Shiv is talking about the article in which dad is portrayed as being held up by his kids. She doesn't care if they want to burn dad's legacy. Roman stops her. They are trying to prep to get a handle on this thing and tracking numbers across five divisions is a lot.

She shuts them down. They're reading documents.

Kendall offers to cut Tom's throat if it would make her happy. She pauses walking through the plane when she gets to Tom.

Karolina says the Swede's business is run by a bunch of really impressive really serious young people. When they bought a video game developer, there was less than ten percent retention of former staff. They're brutal motherfuckers.

Shiv enjoys watching her brothers teetering on the edge of self combustion. Ken says he's a little worried, and Shiv reminds him that every dollar they squeeze makes them stronger for when they do Pierce/ATN.

They disembark their SUVs for golf carts. It's beautiful there, and it's raining. They're staying in gorgeous cabins overlooking a stream. Kendall says his is small. Roman says when a bear shits in the woods, it uses one of those.

They take a ski lift to the pinnacle of a mountaintop. Roman says they're good on the plan. Shiv says everyone's fine with a plan until they're punched in the mouth. Karl reminds them how Logan did it by starting with a joke.

Kendall and Roman talk numbers when they get a call about Marcia's desire to put dad in a kilt. He doesn't want to be blamed about how dad looks. He wants carte blanche and no recriminations after the fact.

At the top, everyone is at the lavish buffet style spred. When Mattson's people enter, Tom said they took the bait. Fattened for the kill.

Tom introduces himself as Tom, and a guy says Tom of Siobhan. Or ATN, Tom says.

Hugo's plate is piled his, and someone says to leave some for them. Hugo says he metabolizes fast and then scoffs at the guy who almost got a bronze at Sochi. That was almost huge, he says.

Mattson greets the rest of the gang, wondering if he'll get sued if he hugs Shiv. Want to find out? Then he pretends he's solo while they brought the whole gang.

They all stumble over each other, and Mattson teases them. Relax, we can talk. They talk about numbers and valuation and then Matsson offers to buy the entire operation for one single dollar. He does want ATN though. He wants it back in despite the carveout. Roman wonders why, and Matsson doesn't think he has to say why. He offers 187 per share 50/50 cash sale. Roman says they're not sure that it works. It's a material change, so they'll have to see if it works. Matsson wonders if they like it, just a little bit. Maybe Kendall does, but Roman says they're going to take a beat. They'll talk later.

Gerri, Frank, and Karl are beside themselves with how well it went.

Kendall and Roman talk about it. Roman wants to stick to the deal with the ATN carveout so they can do the Pierce ATN bit, but when the meet Shiv, she says Gerald Mankin was dialed in to the morning ATN conference, which if it comes out, will be a huge blow to credibility.

Roman blames Cyd, but they really have more to talk about. She says get rid of ATN. Roman says that was dad's pride and joy, but Shiv says keep an old sweater instead. Shiv just wants to get the deal done.

Tom and Greg discuss things in their own special language when Tom's interest is piqued with a kill list with eight or nine people. Greg wanders over the the sibs and wonders if they want to toss around some numbers. The quad squad. The family.

Tom joins Lukas and his people at a nearby table. Tom reminds him they made fun of someone in their board shorts one time. Lukas says they're talking about France and whether they'll make it given their birthrate, youth unemployment, erotic state, angry Arabs. Tom says from a US news perspective, they don't give a fuck.

Greg comes over to chastize Tom. He read an article about France in the Economist. Lukas doesn't remember him from the list. Everyone has gathered around and now Matsson's team is talking in their language about them all being related. Kendall says maybe it's better with subtitles. Matsson says they're just passing time until they come up with a counter. You want to do this here? Kendall says it's not compelling. Roman says they want to hear numbers about keeping ATN.

Kendall says they could lose a lot with a 50/50 split. Matsson wants to IKEA ATN to fuck. Bloomberg it. Kendall says he doesn't think that Matsson knows what he's buying. Matsson laughs at the trustred brand talk and calls ATN a parts shop. Matsson calls them a tribute band, and feathers begin to ruffle.

Matsson says he's trying to make them rich. Kendall counters that they're already rich. It's time for sauna. Looks like torture.

Matsson apologizes to Shiv for the weather and introduces her to Eva. Matsson wants to know how bad it was. She says the magestic stags with their styrofoam hardons was a fuckin' spectacle. Matsson asks her. Is it there? She says potentially.

Roman is beginning to sour on selling. Kendall wants to tank the deal. He wants to tank the whole deal. Roman doesn't spit on it. Kendall likes running the joint, and he thinks they're doing it well. They both think Matsson will tank what the family created. Roman wonders what dad would do. Kendall says dad would do exactly whatever the fuck he wanted. Roman says they need to make Matsson walk because if the old guard gets wind of what they're doing, they'll go crying to the board.

While they're considering how to tank the deal, Shiv is telling Matsson that a meaningful bump gets him over the line. Oh, so more and more money gets him over the line. He wonders about Eva. He says she won't let him in. Karolina is good, Shiv says.

Matsson says people are judging him and wonders what's going on with her husband. They broke each others hearts and lost their footing. Matsson was seeing this girl, and after they broke up. He sent her a half a liter of his blood as a joke, which weirded her out. He did it again and again and again and it was a joke and then not a joke until it's a joke again. And that is Ebba.

Shiv says that if he's the creepy stalker guy harassing direct reports with a hanging IV bag, it won't be good for him, and it won't be good for the stock.

He likes her. She's cool. He says she can take a joke and doesn't judge him -- like her dad.

Kendall asks Greg to take a reporter's call and let them know that the deal isn't going well. The cultures don't mesh and the deal vibes are back. He then asks Jess to set up a giant screen for three hours the next morning.

Shiv gets the news and takes it to Kendall. Greg says they're probably trying to put the squeeze on them.

Shiv says nobody takes Tom seriously because of her white shoes. He flicks her earlobes and calls them thick and chewy like barnacle meat. She talks about the boring but broad and conventionally handsome Matsson. Compared to Matsson, Tom is wirey, like a fuckin' splunker.

Connor sent a photo of Dad, and Roman is disgusted. They get to the top. It's very high and very scary. They're talking about a movie they're making. Matsson wonders if they're scooby dooing him. Are they tanking the deal? They said they're not. They need to slow it down a little bit.

Matsson calls Logan a prick, and Roman says no. Matsson says if Logan could see them, he'd be embarrassed. He threatens to go around them and talk to the board. Roman pivots.

He calls Matsson on his inhuman behavior calling them out here right after their dad died. He couldn't wait two fucking days? Roman says fuck you. They aren't selling to him. They're going to grind him down. Roman says he fucking hates him And if Matsson tells the board, he'll say it's a negoiating tactic. Matsson says he just fucked himself. He calls on Kendall. He heard that, right?

Kendall says to Roman, it wasn't the deal, but maybe it plays. Back on the plane, Frank gets a call from Matsson. Revised offer at 192. They're so excited. Maybe Kendall and Roman are too? Shiv tells Tom that the deal takes ATN, too.

Shiv tells Tom he can fire Cyd. Wonders if she wants to get dinner when they get back. Matsson calls Shiv asking for a photo of Kendall and Roman's faces.

Gerri gets a list of the severance list. Ray. Mark. Hugo. Frank. Karl. Karolina, Gerri, and Tom are not on the list.

Greg: Arctic foxes. A bit of Norwegian wood.
