Sam is still reeling from the effects of passing the second trial.

Charlie contacts Sam and Dean with a case involving a djinn that happens to be attracted to fear.

Dean takes Charlie under his wing, but the djinn manages to put her into a dream loop. It involves a video game to kill off vampires.

Dean enters her dream telling her to stop playing, let go, and end the loop in order to escape.

Sam kills the second djinn.

Sam and Dean learn that Charlie, who had been on the run since 12 for hacking and releasing a game online, returned to Kansas to see her mom who had been sick.

After Charlie says goodbye to Sam and Dean, she returns to the hospital to read her mom The Hobbit for one last time.
