Lea wakes up in the middle of the night to pee. She and Shaun discuss baby names but he thinks Kelly and Addison are bad ideas because they remind him of diseases and surgeries. In the morning, Lea isn't happy that Glassman knows about this.

Andrews wants Jordan to talk to a group of Black students but she says it's not her responsibility to be the one they see.

Park sees a child who fell off his trampoline two days ago. He can't seem to hold a flashlight or remember where his Daddy is. Park says he is having a stroke.

Shaun decides that Perez is suspicious because he came in at 8:01 instead of 8 sharp.

Jordan tells Asher she shouldn't have to be a role model just because she's Black. She discovers that her grandma is in the hospital with chest pains. Asher says he will check her out since Jordan can't. Grandma wants Jordan to supervise. She has inflammation around her heart and passes out.

Nathan's mom asks Park to talk to the husband who doesn't understand how a 4-year-old can have a stroke and doesn't know if she should come back from Alabama where he is doing tornado relief work. The mom tells him not to.

During Nathan's surgery, Shaun has details about tornadoes in Alabama and says the father has a crisis right here. They find scar tissue when they look at Nathan's brain and realize the problem didn't come from Nathan hitting his head.

During the surgery, Jordan observes and says her grandma was a drill sergeant. Li says she can't pierce the sac and Grandma has a coconut heart -- totally calcified.

Park says Nathan has a rare brain disease and he needs chemo. If he doesn't get treatment he will die, and he needs immunosupressants his whole life.

Jordan won't leave the case alone. Lim finally tells her her idea is not viable.

Andrews talks to Grandma E, who used to work at Marcus Books. He is excited about all the Black authors he learned about there. Jordan sends him away.  She thinks that was weird. Grandma thinks it's not as weird as Jordan refusing to serve as a mentor. Jordan wants to talk about Grandma's case  and wants her to tell her if she thinks Lim's idea is best.

Shaun and Lea come home and find that Glassman has drank a whole bottle of wine and is trying to babyproof everything. Also he likes thename Nicholas. He has bought three high chairs and a nanny cam. Lea doesn't want these things or to choose the name Nicholas. Nor does she want the Dr. Spock book  that Glassman has for her and goes in the other room.

Lim is upset that Jordan told her grandmother her idea instead of Lim's. Lim tells her to convince her grandmother that she's right.

Park goes to check on Nathan who is clinging to his mom and says everything is not okay before trying to play with the pill bottles.

Jordan tells her grandma that she was wrong about Lim. She says she was trying to b e twice as good as everyone else like Grandma told her. Grandma says that's the way it is for people who look like them.

Nathan wants to stop taking the medicine and says he hates it. Park tells him to hide in the tunnel (the MRI machine) and does the MRI

Shaun tells Park he is good with Nathan. Shaun realizes Nathan has moia moia disease. There are abnormal vessels that need to be removed. The father is angry they gave Nathan chemo he didn't need. He will need multiple brain surgeries. Nathan asks what brain surgery is. Nathan's dad says his plane got canceled. Nathan asks if his stuffed dog can have brain surgery too. Shaun says stuffed animals don't have brains.

LEa goes into the bathroom and finds the nanny cam. and the toilet is locked. She wakes Shaun and says Glassman has to go.

Perez comes zooming down t he hall and doing Olympic-like jumps to get to work on time. Shaun says he's late again and asks what is causing his tardiness. Perez says he has a daily AA meeting in the morning before work.

Jordan is annoying Asher while he practices. Jordan rants that her grandma made her feel inadequate. Asher doesn't understand why she feels that way. Lim comes in and Jordan says that this is not ready for primetime.

Park suggests that Shaun says yes next time a child asks to do surgery on his stuffed animal. Shaun says that he was a logical child who wouldn't want to be lied to. Park suggests that Shaun understand other people's thought processes.

Jordan is annoyed that Perez took her grandmother for a ride around the hospital. Perez explains he was late to work because of his meeting. Grandma suggests he start a meeting at the hospital.

Shaun tells Glassman that Lea needs space. Glassman says he enjoyed the distraction. Shaun tells him he considers him the baby's grandfather. Glassman is very touched.  Shaun says Glassman can stay. Glassman says no. He will go somewhere.

Jordan is hovering over her grandmother and annoying her. She says Jordan is the one in need. Jordan says her grandmother was so much more supportive of him than of her. Grandma tells her she wanted to be like the first Black doctor but she didn't know her until Jordan was in med schoolo. She has always been impressed by her. Suddenly she has trouble breathing and is hypertensive. Her heart is failing and she needs the surgery now.

Perez hangs a flyer and Andrews is annoyed he didn't ask first because he knows of a better conference room.

Nathan's father calls but Nathan is already sedated.

Jordan's grandmother starts bleeding and Lim needs ideas after they finish fixing the perforation. Jordan has an idea. Lim tells her to talk her through it.

Park says they are an hour ahead of schedule and should do the other bypass. Shaun doesn't like it but thinks of a low-risk option.

Jordan's grandma says she can breathe for the first time in a long time.  Jordan is proud that she helped.

Nathan is doing well and asks where Patches is. Shaun shows him that Patches has a bandage too

Perez sits alone. No one has come to his meeting. A nurse finally shows up.

Andrews approaches Jordan, who has decided to do the speech. She speaks to the class over Zoom.

Lea is shocked to find that Glassman will move out. She feels horrible but Glassman has rented an apartment down the hall.
