Team Cockroach prepares for the last day of the experiment by throwing a final party.

Simone tells the other humans that something is wrong with the neighborhood and it involves all of them.

John tells everyone Jason is there by accident, Brent tells them there's a "best" place, and Simone hypothesizes that they're all part of an experiment. 

Tahani and Jason warn Eleanor that the humans are onto them. Michael tells them he has a plan. 

Simone and Chidi raid Eleanor's office to get answers. They find the board with their faces on it. 

Michael puts on a magic show and selects Brent as a volunteer. A hole opens up during the performance and Brent falls in, hanging onto the edge for dear life. 

Eleanor asks Simone, Chidi, and John to help Brent out and leaves. Team Cockroach meets in her office hoping their plan works. 

Everyone tries to convince Chidi to leave Brent behind, but he refuses. Simone and John leave without either of them. 

The gang finds that Chidi has fallen into the hole trying to save Brent, but the humans have split up. 

Michael and Eleanor make Chidi and Brent believe that they've been in the Bad Place all along, hoping that Brent will realize the error of his ways in the experiment's final minutes. 

The realization that he's not a good person dawns on Brent, and the experiment ends the moment he begins to apologize.
