Simone and her father play checkers as they discuss the period when Cutty was incarcerated. Cutty reveals that the cop who had him wrongly accused had reached out asking for forgiveness.
Mark flies in from DC to reconnect with Laura, but there is some tension because they haven't defined their relationship.
The FBI gets a case from the LAPD about Abril Rojas.
Brendon gets Mark into the case, much to Laura's unease.
Carter and his former FBI roommate argue, revealing an existing grudge.
Mark and Laura don't get along while discussing the case.
Mark, Laura, and Brendon interview Elijah, who realizes what they might be doing going after Abril.
The team breach Abril's house to find the body of the priest.
Mark and Laura start arguing about the nature of their relationship.
The FBI interview the priest's sister, who reveals that Juan was a cop before he became a priest. He and some soldier are the ones who killed Abril's dad and caused her head injury.
Mark and Laura argue, leading to Mark leaving because Laura doesn't want to define their relationship.
Abril and her girlfriend travel to Los Angeles to kill some of Elijah's associates.
They stalk Elena, who is on a date, and plant malware into her phone to lead them to someone they are looking for.
Abril and the girlfriend argue when the girlfriend notices that it's getting too personal for Abril.
The team learns that Abril is after the head of the task force involved in her father's death.
They learn that Elena's phone is bugged, and Abril can hear what they say.
Garza and Elena work the crime scene where Elena's phone was bugged.
Carter reaches out to his FBI roommate and asks for his help.
The team learns that Owen is trying to go after Abril by himself. They track him to a particular building.
They arrive in time to find Abril and Owen fighting, and Abril gets the upper hand.
Simone tries to talk to Abril to try and get her to release Owen, but she shoots him, and the FBI shoots her too.
Carter and his roommate friend talk and hush things out.
Simone and her father visit the cop in the hospital.
