Daryl and Laurent are on the boat and are trying to get to the Nest, but they know there's plenty for them to do before they get there.

As Laurent finds a fish, he's shocked that Daryl tells him they have to kill it for dinner.

He then asks Daryl about the people he's left behind. He talks about Connie, RJ, Judith, and Carol.

Laurent says they sound nice, but Daryl asks how he would know.

The man helping them is killed by a walker, and Daryl and Laurent prepare to leave... until he realizes that Laurent cut the boat.

Daryl calls him worthless and tells him that he's ruined everything, but changes his tune when Laurent says he misses Isabelle.

In flashbacks, we learn that Daryl arrived in Maine and was offered gas in exchange for rounding up walkers.

He's struggling but he follows through on the mission. We learn that he called Carol and told her where he was and that someone returned to the Commonwealth. We don't learn who, but there is a hint it's Rick.

One of the kids are killed and Daryl lashes out and he's put on Genet's boat with the man, where they realize the walkers are being tested on and the people are being fed to them.

Daryl escapes on a boat but has to contend with a walker of epic proportions.

He and Laurent go on the road to the nest.

Isabelle is caught up with Quinn and she wants to kill him to escape but she gradually realizes there's more to be done.

As they leave to meet Genet, Fallou, Emile, and Sylvie make their way into the meeting.

Quinn learns that Anna sold him out and tells her she'll never understand what she's done.

This doesn't sit well with him.

In the end, Genet prepares to have Daryl killed because she blames other people for bringing this "plague" to France.

She then allows a variant walker into the ring to fight him.
