Ciri begins her training, working herself to exhaustion.

Geralt takes food to Vesemir who is still trying to figure out what happened to Eskel. Geralt encourages him to let Eskel go.

At Aretuza, Tissaia writes out the list of the mages killed at Sodden, adding Yennefer at the end. In Council, Istredd reports back on the monoliths he studied in Nilfgaard. Stregobor insists on deflecting blame and hate onto the elves. Yennefer returns to the Brotherhood.

Tissaia warns Yennefer that she must let Vilgefortz be the hero of Sodden Hill while the power play is in action. She thanks her for her sacrifice.

The elves are pouring into Cintra. Filavandrel worries that their numbers are causing the Nilfgaardians tension. Francesca reassures him.

Lambert taunts Ciri's fatigue. She makes him show her what true witcher trainees do. He brings her to the gauntlet where she gets beaten bloody.

Geralt and Vesemir bring Eskel's body to a cave for the wolves.

Yennefer tries to heat the bathing pool with magic but can't do it. Triss, Sabrina, and another mage join her. Sabrina heats the pool and everyone except Triss goes for a swim.

Istredd challenges Stegobor during one of his lessons.

Triss and Yennefer discuss the scars Triss sustained from the Sodden Hill battle. She is resigned to them.

Francesca and Fringilla solidify their alliance.

Yennefer runs into Vilgefortz. She explores further and finds Cahir in his cell.

She runs into Stregobor as she's leaving and he captures her to dig into her mind and memories. She is rescued by Tissaia.

Geralt and Vesemir returned to Kaer Morhen and the other witchers bring Geralt to the gauntlet where Ciri nearly finishes.

Tissaia demands Stregobor be forced to answer for his actions against Yennefer. Stregobor insists Yennefer is a spy.

Yennefer must execute Cahir to prove she's not a Nilfgaardian spy. Tissaia knows that Yennefer has lost her magic but Yennefer won't reveal that.

Geralt patches up Ciri's wounds. She is impatient to become a great fighter and storms off. Geralt finds a crack in her wall and discovers the leshy's roots have stolen her royal standard cloth.

Yennefer tries to flee but Istredd finds her and tells her there are watchers posted and she'll be caught. Yennefer hears Voleth Meir's voice calling to her.

Coen trains Ciri in the hall. Geralt comes in and asks her about her feeling of being hunted. She says it's pulling her into the woods. Ciri's visions lead her to the leshy that infected Eskel. Another monster kills the leshy and pursues her. Geralt kills it and takes its head back to Kaer Morhen.

Yennefer attends the ceremony where she must kill Cahir. Instead, she frees him and they ride off together.
