This Is Us Season 6 Episode 6 revolves around Thanksgiving plans.

In the present, Kevin wants to make plans for Madison and the twins to come out to the cabin for Thanksgiving, but Madison secretly wants to stay put and have Thanksgiving with Elijah. Kevin, who has been trying to accept Elijah, loses it when he hears this. He's especially upset that Kate told Madison to wait until after the taping to discuss this.

Meanwhile, in the past, Kate learns that Kevin cheated on Sophie and Sophie feels betrayed when she finds out that Kate didn't tell her. Sophie leaves the Pearson house just prior to Thanksgiving, while Miguel appears to be jealous when Rebecca invites Matt to Thanksgiving dinner too and admits she's having fun with him.

While all this is going on, Beth prepares nervously for a showcase her students are doing. She's worried that if she chooses the wrong dancers, it'll ruin her job and that the showcase will be a failure. Beth feels a connection with an insecure student, Stacy, who confides in her that her father wants her to forget dance and become a lawyer like him.
