This Is Us Season 6 Episode 17 is all about saying goodbye to Rebecca.

While she lies comatose in her hospice bed, a younger Rebecca walks through a train, accompanied by William. She insists she is waiting for someone but he says they have to move through the train. He takes her to the bar car, where Dr. K is tending bar.

Rebecca sees her kids but not Kate and says Kate is not here yet. She confides to Dr. K that she was not a perfect parent. He says no parent is. Dr. K tells her that he thought she was going to die while giving birth and instead she survived Kyle's death and Jack's.

Next, Rebecca briefly gets to reconnect with Miguel but William says it's time to go. Rebecca refuses to go to the caboose car until Kate arrives.

At the cabin, Randall wonders if everyone sitting together and laughing while they are waiting is right. Deja tells him about her pregnancy. She swears him to secrecy. Meanwhile, Kate is trying to get there before Rebecca passes but is on a 12 hour flight. One by one, everyone goes to say their goodbyes and then Kevin and Randall go in and banter with each other until Kate finally arrives.
