Recap

Nora and Mackenzie make the long walk home. Nora describes the scene at the White House to her friends, and they ask questions. Her friends found no food while Nora and Mackenzie were gone, and have made the "tough decision" to leave without them.

Riots continue outside the White House.

Agent 355 stays with the pilots in a secure room while they await further instruction. 355 says the President didn't know about Yorick. The pilots suggest that there might be a conspiracy and that it doesn't reflect well on the President that it was her son who survived.

Yorick stays close with his mother, sharing a bed. Ampersand gets loose and Yorick has to go after him.

Marla is watching old episodes of M*A*S*H* when she hears the sound of someone in the hallway. She pursues the figure, not knowing it is Yorick.

Called by President Brown, Agent 355 leaves the pilots and locks them in the room. President Brown informs Agent 355 that Yorick is missing.

Yorick chases Ampersand through the Hall of Heroes, where a memorial has been created for the dead men using IDs, photos, and mementos. Yorick sees his graduation photo. Marla continues in her pursuit.

Yorick finds a sealed-off room full of decaying bodies. Marla follows and sees him in the dark. Yorick hides. Agent 355 and President Brown arrive, finding Marla alone. Agent 355 searches, and sees Yorick but does not give him away. Marla is confused, but President Brown helps her back to her room.

Later, talking with his mother, Yorick grapples with the fact that he may be the only surviving cisgender man. They discuss Hero and Yorick's father. Yorick asks about Beth, who might be in Cleveland with her mother. President Brown says she will send someone for them when she can.

Agent 355 interrupts to inform President Brown that the pilots will be an issue. No one else can find out about Yorick.

Nora watches her friends leave. Mackenzie suggests getting some of her dad's old protein powder from their garage, but Nora tells her it's already gone.

Yorick wolfs down a plate of spaghetti. Agent 355 tells him about what happened in Russia -- the Kremlin was stormed after a statement was released saying that male Russian leaders had survived the Event. It had been a lie, and now the US has lost contact with Russia.

355 and Yorick discuss how Brown became president. 355 notes the two other higher-ranking women --  Secretary of Education Abbott was born in Antigua, and Regina Oliver is dead. Yorick expresses his disdain for Oliver, stating that she is a xenophobic, gun-toting maniac.

Back in the control room, the women in charge are discussing a power plant that has gone offline and poses a looming threat. President Brown suggests reaching out to Sharon Jacobs, a nuclear engineer who is currently on leave, to get it back online safely.

Kimberly approaches President Brown to discusses Marla's night-time incident. President Brown brushes her off.

President Brown confides in Christine about Yorick and Ampersand. President Brown wants to find a geneticist to find whatever is unique about Yorick. Agent 355 insists that it is dangerous for Yorick to stay, saying he needs to be moved in order to be protected.

In Tel Aviv, a patient awakes from serious head trauma after being in a coma for several months. The doctor informs her about the Event. The patient, Regina Oliver, realizes that this means she is the rightful President of the US.

Back in DC, Kimberly notices Agent 355 going through the files of top scientists. Kimberley introduces herself, wondering why she doesn't know "Sarah" and 355 explains that her first day on the job was that of the Event. Kimberley invites 355 to play cards with her some time.

Young girls play and women do laundry as Kimberley chats with Elaine, the former Second Lady. Kimberly believes Marla should be more involved in the running of things, and Elaine defends President Brown. Kimberly insists they need more Republicans in charge. Kimberly asks for Elaine's support "if the time comes."

Nora and Mackenzie return to their home. Nora finds an old ninja turtle figurine that had belonged to her son, Connor. Mackenzie sees crows outside trying to get through the fabric that wraps her father and brother's bodies. She chases them with a spade and badly cuts her leg.

Agent 355 has brought forth her suggestion for a geneticist -- Dr. Alison Mann. Christine says Dr. Mann is morally dubious, as she was soliciting grant money from the Saudis. 355 argues this point in Dr. Mann's favor, as she was willing to get her work done at any cost.

Yorick grows suspicious of Agent 355. President Brown asks Yorick what he would like to do. He says that he just wants Beth, and will do anything they ask of him in order to get her back.

President Brown is called to the control room. Something big has happened. Kimberly notices and gets her friend in the Secret Service, Abby, to tell her what's going on. They have just heard that Regina Oliver is alive in Tel Aviv.

President Brown and her cabinet discuss what this means -- a constitutional crisis. They all believe Regina is a fringe lunatic, but recognize that she has a legitimate claim to the presidency. They all agree that she cannot be president, and they vow to back President Brown.

Kimberly leads the Republican women to a confrontation with President Brown and her cabinet, insisting that their values must be upheld. President Brown tells her that the situation will be handled.

Agent 355 urges President Brown to get Yorick out immediately, vowing to take him to Dr. Mann in Boston. Agent 355 gets the pilots on board with the mission. Yorick shares a tearful goodbye with his mother. Christine arrives, telling President Brown that they have Sharon Jacobs on the line. Agent 355 assures President Brown that she will protect Yorick at all costs.

Nora attempts to dig graves for her husband and son. A vulture lands on the fence. Nora gives up digging.

Nora and Mackenzie drive away. Mackenzie gets the radio working for a minute, giving them some hope before it cuts out again.

Agent 355 sneaks Yorick out by hiding him amongst the dead bodies, saying it's the only way for him to escape undetected. The two pilots pick them up.

President Brown has a telephone conversation with Sharon Jacobs and convinces her to get the plant back up and running.

Kimberly finds President Brown in the Hall of Heroes, and apologizes for her earlier behavior. The two women hold hands, and Kimberly remarks how strange it was that her mother hallucinated Yorick, of all men.

Agent 355 pilots one helicopter, carrying Yorick, while the two pilots cover them in another helicopter. The other helicopter catches fire and crashes in a ball of flames, but Agent 355 keeps on flying.
