Dean makes a deal with Death on the midseason finale of Supernatural.
Titled “Appointment In Samarra,” the December 10 installment will feature the return of Julian Richings in the aforementioned dark role. He’ll agree to help get Sam’s soul back if Dean simply takes on his job for a day.
