The Carrie Diaries has found its Samantha.
Newcomer Lindsey Gort has landed this coveted role on Season 2 of The CW series, according to a network press release.
It describes the character as “one of the most important people in Carrie Bradshaw’s life” and someone who has already made a name for herself in “the rock ’n’ roll scene of 1980s NYC.”
The Carrie Diaries moves to Fridays and kicks off its second season on October 25.
Gort, meanwhile, has completed production on the upcoming Denzel Washington movie 2 Guns.
