Homer goes to a convention in Boise but returns slightly different. Now that he’s not eating pork, abstaining from alcohol, and acting a little creepy, Lisa worries that something bad has changed him. When she’s hear about a terrorist threat to Springfield, she calls the FBI. Investigators stake out the nuclear plant as Homer enacts his plan. He wised up to the dangers of the plant, as well as those of alcohol and pork, by a group of hippies. Homer’s plan to make the power plant smell by sabotaging the a/c unit fails, but it does get the plant temporarily shut down due to code violations.
