Ignacio Serricchio is headed to primetime.
The actor, who has appeared as Alex Chavez on The Young and the Restless since 2012, has been hired by Bones as the Jeffersonian’s newest squintern, according to TV Line.
Serricchio will portray a prominent forensic anthropologist from Cuba who comes to America seeking asylum.
“He has to work his way up to a position that he already occupied for many years,” producer Stephen Nathan previously told the site of the recurring character. “He feels that he’s Brennan’s equal, but Brennan really doesn’t feel the same.”
Look for Serricchio to debut some time this spring.
Fox announced this week that there's a good chance Bones will return for a 10th and final season.
