The Good Wife is back!

Well, kind of. A spin-off of the popular CBS drama series will be making its way to CBS All Access in February, with some of the key players from the parent series playing big roles.

The witty Christine Baranski will be one of the central characters in this new iteration, which will find her pushed to her limit as her reputation as she knows it is destroyed. 

That's all thanks to her goddaughter, Maia, who will be played by Game of Thrones star, Rose Leslie. Maia finds herself in a tricky situation due to a massive financial scam. 

As you all know if you watch The Good Wife online, Christine is not a character who rolls over and accepts defeat. That's probably why she presses on to try and find a way to reclaim her reputation. 

Cush Jumbo is also returning as Lucca Quinn. She gets both Christine and Maia jobs at a top Chicago law firm. 

Based on the trailer alone, it's clear that Rose Leslie is going to fit very well into the franchise. 

If the series inherits the crazy twists from The Good Wife, it should be a hit. 

The show will only be airing its first episode on CBS, before switching to CBS All Access for the rest of the season. 

The show is currently scheduled to premiere on February 19, 2017.
