The Shannara Chronicles Season 2 Trailer: Who Will Save The World?

The fate of the world is very much up in the air when The Shannara Chronicles returns for Season 2.
The fantasy drama ended Season 1 with Poppy Drayton's Amberle turning into a tree.
It was the mother of all shocks, and if the official trailer for Season 2 is any indication, it looks like Amberle is well and truly out of the picture.
That gives some of the supporting cast some more material to work with, but Austin Butler's Wil does not seem interested in saving the world any longer.
All of the crap that went down on Season 1 has had a profound effect on him, and he appears to be done fighting the good fight.
Instead, he's had a hair cut and looks like a different person, but how long will it take for him to return to fighting?
We do get to see him in possession of the Sword of Shannara, so that could be the nudge he needs in the right direction.
With a new force of darkness threatening the Four Lands, it's down to a select group of people to restore order.
Will they succeed, or will there be a lot more death before anything significant happens?
The Shannara Chronicles returns Wednesday, October 11 on Spike.
Viacom announced earlier this year that the series would be departing MTV for the network, and I'm surprisingly alright with it.
Scripted is a dying breed over at MTV, so the best way to secure its fate is on another network.
