More Guest Stars Lined Up For Spring Grey's Anatomy Spin-off Episode

by at . Comments

Sources confirm that Alias' Merrin Dungey and Judging Amy's Amy Brenneman (pictured) have joined the cast of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off (or the potential spin-off, as it's being called, beginning with a special two-hour episode of Grey's scheduled for this spring).

Amy Brenneman
Based on recent reports from Michael Ausiello of TV Guide, Dungey may be playing a psychiatrist, and Brenneman a fertility specialist or the other way around. It's all speculation at this point, but nonetheless fun to consider.

The hiring of this duo puts to rest speculation that Kate Walsh would find herself surrounded by a mostly-male ensemble - buzz that only intensified with the recent casting of stars Tim Daly and Taye Diggs.

We've also confirmed that Paul Adelstein (Prison Break) and Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars) have been added to the cast.

With Shonda Rhimes at the controls and a cast loaded with experienced, successful actors, it seems to us this thing has a pretty good chance of being picked up as a full series. What do you think?

I disliked the pilot. Do not like the known cast. Story is insipid and overly self-indulgent. Let's have some real charaters please

Hate the spinoff...boring, and I do not like the cast. I love love love Addison though, but i wish she would stay on the original greys...by the way, does anyone know who plays the pregnant girl named Lisa? Its driving me nuts!

I have to disagree, a spin off can be a good thing. Kate Walsh is great! I'm afraid it could take some of the focus out of GA, Addy just adds perkiness to the others. Who will they tell all their naughty little secerts to? But it doesn't mean that Addy cant come back to visit and add her own kind of spice to Ga occasionally! Seriously!!!!!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Lexie: [narrating] Grief may be a thing we all have in common, but it looks different on everyone.
Mark: It isn't just death we have to grieve. It's life. It's loss. It's change.
Alex: And when we wonder why it has to suck so much sometimes, has to hurt so bad. The thing we gotta try to remember is that it can turn on a dime.
Izzie: That's how you stay alive. When it hurts so much you can't breathe, that's how you survive.
Derek: By remembering that one day, somehow, impossibly, you won't feel this way. It won't hurt this much.
Bailey: Grief comes in its own time for everyone, in its own way.
Owen: So the best we can do, the best anyone can do, is try for honesty.
Meredith: The really crappy thing, the very worst part of grief is that you can't control it.
Arizona: The best we can do is try to let ourselves feel it when it comes.
Callie: And let it go when we can.
Meredith: The very worst part is that the minute you think you're past it, it starts all over again.
Cristina: And always, every time, it takes your breath away.
Meredith: There are five stages of grief. They look different on all of us, but there are always five.
Alex: Denial.
Derek: Anger.
Bailey: Bargaining.
Lexie: Depression.
Richard: Acceptance.
