THANK YOU JILL FOR YOUR COMMENT!! I was thinking the same thing as I was reading through what ppl had written, and I was suprised that no one addressed it the way you did, so thanks for that!! :D
I think a good question to think about is Why is it that ppl seem to think that a bio-child is more important than an adopted one? A child is a child, whether it comes from one's own body or not. I was so impressed to hear KH talk about it so openly, I haven't heard that from many celebs. KUDOS to her!! With the help of comments like KHs maybe there can be more of an acceptance for ppl to talk about these things, without fear of judgement.

I Love Katie, and I don't think she is putting herself above the others! I think we need to show our opinion, what Isaiah did was wrong, she didn't make any mistakes by considering it wrong. And I don't know if you noticed, but the only reason why you often see her talking about this is because she's constantly ascked about this since she's really close to TR.
I love Izzie too, if Izzie was the one to leave Greys I would be really upset, because whether you want it or not, she IS important, she's one of the main women of Greys.

I really like and respect Katherine. Grey's Anatomy wouldn't have some of it flare without her and her character. I think you guys should give her a break.
Have a nice day. :-)

why do you people bother commenting if you dont like her!?!? iv always been taught that if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all!!! she was just giving her opinion on matters so let the poor woman be!!! you have your own opinion and she has hers!!!!
honestly she seems like a nice, generous person, give her a break!!!

Yeah, I agree with Galatea. She stated her opinion when she was asked asked. And it's an interview, not a debate.
Also to note, it's extremely rude to critizice women who don't want to have children. It's a personal choice, not every woman has to give birth -- just like not everyone has to have a spouse, 2 kids, a dog and soccer carpool. My sister has chosen not to have kids, and is very hurt when people make those snide comments about how "odd it is to not want children."

Well, guys, the interviewer brought up the scandal first, it's not like she just opened up with "this is what I think of other people's business!"
She seems very insightful regarding the whole situation, the two quotes I most enjoyed were:
"Enough with this. It's disgusting. The world is still very bigoted. Go see Borat. I didn't laugh during that movie. I cried. I was horrified.""
"I know that he was very ashamed and that was a necessary emotion to move forward and not backward."
She stated her observations and how she felt, and then moved on to a different topic.. i don't see what so many of you guys are getting so firey about..

Can she ever talk just about herself? She seems to put herself above everybody. When everyone else in the cast was quiet about the whole scandal involving TR n IW, she used it to gain publicity for herself. She keeps bringing up the incident which does not help either TR or IW.

I wouldn't miss Izzy from Greys Anatomy, she really should have had her own spinoff, even though I'm more likely to watch Kate Walsh than Katherine.. Oh BTW I would, so miss the gay-slurring Isiah Washington though. Burke is bad ass and a great character. People need to drop that already. And Katherine needs to get off her high horse. Excuse me, who wouldn't think it's beautiful to give birth to your own child? Tough it out lady, geez.

she's a great character (as they all are), but certainly the most expendable of the main ones. wouldn't miss too much of a beat to have her dropped. i would've liked to see her make some sort of peace w/ isaiah. saw t.r. on the street yesterday. the guy is a helluva snappy dresser.

I think she is a wonderful person and a wonderful actress. I think that's what is so refreshing about her IS the fact that she is sooooo open, she's not afraid to answer questions how she feels that they should be answered. I agree with her on the children thing, maybe not to the same degree but I can see her where her attitude comes from. So to all of you that don't like her, poo on you....seriously...

I think this is probably the least important part of the article, but I felt it was odd when she said she didn't "see the need to go through with all that" when it came to having kids of your own. But hey, I guess we all have our opinions on the mattter.
Finally a positive comment
May 22nd, 2007 10:52 AM
This is honestly the first comment I seen any of the cast do to show they are moving on. "No Comment" to me looks like there is something to hide especially from Heigl since she is very open, candid gal. If she said "no comment", then people would still be speculating. I do agree with her implication that the writers used the personal matter of T.R. and Isaiah for their personal writing gains. I think it was very positive interview, and showed to me finally someone is moving on in this whole mess besides Isaiah. Because I'm seeing and hearling nothing from the cast since "no comment" doesn't give the media the impression things are healing. It makes the image look worse, but that JMHO. No one should be told to say "no comment" unless it's something very meanful and hurtful. Now if it's scarastic(with IMO a lot of celebs are since that's normally the humor), then I'm fine with it.
I just thought this was a very posiitive interview, and showed moving on. If she didn't say anything, t
