All My Children Update: Alexa Havins Out, Amanda Baker In
All My Children has confirmed the exit of Alexa Havins, who joined the show as Babe Carey in October 2003.
Her final air date will be October 8, the same day the actress All My Children has hired to replace her Amanda Baker (Jolene on General Hospita: Night Shift, pictured) will make her debut.
Explains a show rep, "[Havins's] Babe will hug Krystal and when they separate from the hug, it will be Amanda Baker [in] the role."

WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE TO BE MISERABLE ON THE SOAPS? ON AMC JUST AS JR. AND BABE REALLY GET ON THE RIGHT ROAD TO HAPPINESS,SHE GETS KILLED OFF IN THE TORNADO.AND IT LOOKS BAD FOR KENDALL AND ZACK TOO.IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE TRUE LOVE IN A MARRIAGE THAT LASTS A LIFETIME. Alexa is not coming back so grow up and get over it. Amanda is doing a fine job. I can't wait for Alexa to appear on Knight Rider this year.

I can't stand what they have done to the Babe character. I think that Amanda Baker has big shoes to fill and isnt living up to it. She doesn't bring what Alexa brought to the role. I really really really want Alexa back as Babe.

I hate the new Babe. Sure we share the same name in real life but she makes me mad. The character is nothing like she used to be. She's been saying things and doing things that the real Babe wouldn't. I fast foward through all her parts on my tivo. I WANT ALEXA BACK!!
