George and Izzie are meant to be together.; They remind me of me and my boyfriend, we were best friends for years before we realized we had fallen in love. In fact, my boyfriend reminds me a lot of George, the same cute, sweet personality and the same beautiful blue eyes, probably why I love George so much, plus the fact TR is absolutely amazing. I adore George and Izzie and think they have great romantic chemistry and friends chemistry.
I like Rose, so no offense to her, but she and Derek have ZERO ZERO chemistry, it is terrible to watch, he and Meredith ooze chemistry, there is absolutely no competition here.
And while I love and adore Alex, I always HATED he and Izzie together, they DO NOT work.
So YAY GIZZIE, NAY DOSE, and NAY ALEX AND IZZIE!

Team Merder always...they both have their flaws but whent hey are together they are awesome!! anyways i want them to be together and if shondra think this is good for her ratings shes wrong, them being happy will be good! i think the house plans were a bit to big but he understood when she talked to him and asked if they could take 100 baby steps to getting there, so he does care...but i think hes a jerk for having him go right to rose and yes rose is weak or something because who would really go out with someone who just broke up that day...can you say rebound! anyways is it really true that we have to wait until fall for this show to come back...its awful!

Loved the episode and am going to miss the show the rest of this year- I am hoping it is actually back on by next Fall (u never know).

George/Lexi roomates-good, but if he sleeps with this one he is a lost cause

Team Meredith-I can't help but think she was right to bring up the past. Yes, she is screwed up, but people, seriously, he is no saint either. I think we all just forget that because of Dempsey. Let's look at their past from a different angle shall we:
he didn't tell her he was married, then he fights to kepp her only to turn around and say he has to stay w/ Addison, she moves on, he makes his move to get her back. yes alex was abused he said that in season 2 when he has that patient and the boy was abused by his father and alex tells him that he was abused as a little boy and he was always in the bar with his dad and he would always have to clean up after his dad.

i really loved merder but com'on! there's no dilemma here! team mer all the way! if u look at the facts, mer had to deal with her dad leaving her, and her mom's not only lack of love, but illness too, which made her tell mer again and again how she lost the love of her life (chief) because of a daughter she never wanted! but mer did the best she could for her and kept trying till the end to approach her. she also met der and did her best to trust him, and actually managed that. and at that point, she finds out he's married! i mean, it's like life proved to mer she was right not to trust people. but she also rised above that and in a breakout she put herself out there and begged 4 his love. u could see her agony not to be left once more. and what did der do?? left her! does anybody else remember how wrecked she was in season 2? having to deal with people gossiping about her, and seeing addison and derek together?

i caught that part with alex too when they were like your a good boy but something bad is blocking that that you dont want to talk about and you are mean to others to ignore what happened to you...
in i think episode 7 whenever lexies dad comes to the hospital alex says he was picking up after his alcoholic father since the age of 8 and i think he was possibly abused by his drunk father

Wouldn't it be nice if Shonda would either do a podcast or post a letter/article to us the fans on the ABC/Grey's Anatomy website? It would be nice to know what she was thinking about these characters at this point. There has been no news since Nov. (before the strike) except for a few interviews from some of the cast members when they were out and about.
Us the fans are suffering alittle too.

I agree with allaboutsloan and S and sarah. Derek is being a slimy jerk this season. I also think that Mer needs to get Sloan's attention. Derek has "moved on" to Rose. (ASKING HER TO DINNER ON THE SAME NIGHT?!?!? SERIOUSLY?!?!?) Mer should either flirt with Mark or sleep with him just to show Derek how much of a jerk he is being. First he lost Addison, now I want him to lose the woman he called the love of his life to him as well.
As for Gizzie, I don't like them as a couple. They are more like best friends to each other. I have a small group of friends, 6 girls and 3 guys. One of my girl friends is dating one of my guy friends, and it is so wierd!!! They need to go back to dating other people and being best friends.

Someone else had posted this link (article) earlier and after reading it, I truly agree with it. Even thought it was written before the last episode aired there is so much of it that rings true to what I think will happen with Mer/Der in the near future. I also liked the way they brought in the podcasts comments from Shonda/Betsy and compared it to what has happened up to this point. Whats so funny about it is I had thought about their comments as well and have been trying to piece it all together too. Like what does this mean? and all the things Shonda has said about what would be happending to Meredith's growth and gettting to where she needs to be and the magnetic pull Mer/Der have between them that can never be broken. Trying to find some bit of HOPE to hang on to convincing myself they are NO WAY OVER. (Call me crazy, or I'm just eat up with this show and this couple). But its fun I have to admit. Here is the link again. Definately worth reading. Its very interestiing

I am still holding out HOPE where Mer/Der are concerned. They may have ended it for now, but have they REALLY? I truly believe (if the strikes ends soon) that Shonda will play this out alittle longer but Meredith and Derek will find their way back to each other sooner than later. They have to because they truly do love each other and even though they are mad at each other for so many reasons right now, again the look on Dereks face when the camera zoomed in on him when they were all watching over Bailey and her baby was all I needed to know that Derek has NOT given up on Meredith, he thinks he has but he hasn't.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Team Meredith all the way! I love Derek but he knows that Meredith has issues. If you spend 10 minutes with her you know she has issues so he needs to deal. The whole house thing was way too much for her right know. She clearly loves him or else she wouldn't have gotten so jealous. Why can't he see that. I am all for the MERDER love, but right now I'm team Mer.

HEY Ry, that was exactly my point in saying, really they started to really be with each other in season 3. So really its only been a year. I know people might come back with the response that they have been through a lot.
So my point is, in any normal relationship, any girl in here tell me if im wrong. If you slept with a married man, and been through hell and back because you did, and you had all these problems with him. Then everything is cool, but you've still only knew him for a year...what would you say to a building a house?!?! and GETTING MARRIED!!! that is nuts.
But they are in love..but meredith was 100 truth full when she said there are 100 steps in between now and getting a house. They need to know they can trust each other in an actual relationship.

I find it amusing sometimes because my brother has a Derek and Meredith in his life. He watched his friends fight and make up since 11th grade. For 14 years they did like MerDer until she got pregnant and now they have been happily married for 6 years. I know that we won't have to wait that long until MerDer are back together and actually happy but I know it will happen. I just have to learn to take the good with the bad because I know it will be great in the end.

George and Izzie are the best, no comparison. Seeing Izzie smile at Alex, you see the difference right away. She does not smile at him like she smiles at George, because she is totally in love with George and has never been in love with Alex. Who cares if Alex brightens up around Izzie, she brightens up around George and if the writers had any sense, they would put George and Izzie back together where they belong!

I'm indifferent. On one hand I am team Derek. I'd give anything to have a guy that I like/love tell me that he wanted to build a house for us.[It's means he has plans for us and that he sees me in his future and only me] But at the same time I'm team Meredith. I think the house plans are too much for her and I can kind of see why this would scare her away[and why for like the 100th time she would bring up his marriage to Addison again] She needed an excusse to bail. But I also feel like she soo blew that kiss out of proposition. It was just a kiss and to be honest...I don't think that it really meant anything. I just think that Derek liked the attention and I think that he enjoyed interacting with an adult and not a child[like Meredith sometimes can be].
On another note, love how hahn finally cracked and basically told Mark that she likes him and that if things were different and she wasn't working at Seattle Grace...she'd so hit that.[lol].

what did derek do wrong? he kissed rose. he kissed rose AND he didn't tell meredith. he laid out the house plans the day after he kissed rose, and he expected meredith to embrace it. he told meredith once that he can't leave her, and now he's told her "i can't do this".
meredith's got issues, sure, but i can see that she gave the relationship as much as she CAN give. derek, now he's just whiny and impatient and very inconsistent. :(

Team Derek all the way. Meredith is just a frustrating person and needs to get over herself. Derek can't keep waiting for her. Rose is a good person for him because she knows what she wants. Plus, Rose is just happier and Derek totally needs some happiness in his life because Mer is just bringing him down because she just sucks right now.
