Updating a previous report, CBS has confirmed that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will in fact appear on How I Met Your Mother for one January episode, following in the footsteps of last season's headline-generating guest star, Britney Spears.
"We can confirm that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt will appear on the show," cocreator and executive producer Thomas told E! Online.
"But we can't give away anything specific about the episode. All we can say is that they play themselves, and one of them is the Mother."
Okay then.
The episode, fittingly, revolves around poo. Marshall (Jason Segel) can't find a good spot to drop a D at work - and that's where Speidi steps in.
WHAT TOOLS: Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag (a.k.a. Speidi from The Hills) are coming to How I Met Your Mother. Sigh. We know we'll be tuning in, so why lie about it.
