To try and keep Robin from going on a camping trip with co-worker Sandy Rivers, Ted tries to make it rain with a rain dance. Lily gets accepted to her internship and California and her and Marshall break up.
Season 2 (2006 - 2007)
Premeire: Where Were We?
The gang tries to help Marshall get over Lily, especially when he checks her credit card receipts and finds she's staying in a hotel nearby in New York!
Finale: Something Blue
When Barney overhears that Ted and Robin have a secret to reveal at the wedding reception, he begins to guess what it might be.
Season 3 (2007 - 2008)
Premeire: Wait for It
When Robin shows up with a new boyfriend, Gael (guest star Enrique Iglesias), Ted decides he's ready to move on and hit the town with Barney. While out he meets Amy (guest star Mandy Moore), a tattooed party girl.
Finale: Miracles
After breaking up with Stella (Sarah Chalke), Ted is involved in a car accident. The episode and season ends with Ted proposing to Stella at a Chuck E. Cheese like place.
Season 4 (2008 - 2009)
Premeire: Intervention
Episode 4 of season 4 used Interventions as a theme but the episode was really about the group being ready to move on.
Finale: The Leap
It's Ted's 31st birthday; Barney gets ready to profess his love to Robin; and Marshall wants to take the leap.
Season 5 (2009 - 2010)
Premeire: Definitions
The new season of How I Met Your Mother kicks off with an episode titled "Definitions." In it, Robin and Barney try to keep their romance secret.
Finale: Doppelgangers
Marshall and Lily decide to put fate to the test when it comes to deciding whether or not they are ready to have a baby on the fifth season finale of How I Met Your Mother.
