Based on the status of  Ziva at the end of season six - the character was being tortured and all - it's only natural that some NCIS fans might wonder about the return of Cote de Pablo in the fall.

But, have no fear, the actress remains part of the show's main cast.

As for how that grim cliff-hange will be resolved, TV Guide turned to series writer Shane Brennan for the answer. In September, he said:

"All will be revealed and you will be surprised. It will come at you from left field."

Meanwhile, you can relive the action on August 25. That's when the sixth season of NCIS is released on DVD.
