The first spoiler we've come across for season two of Castle is not exactly a shocker:

According to TV Guide, the opening scene of this show's sophomore season will find Kate Beckett a tad perturbed at Castle's celebrity, as the author celebrates the release of his new book with a story in Cosmopolitan... along two women dressed in skimpy police uniforms.

Might Beckett be growing tired of being seen as a potential love interest for her occasional partner, as opposed to a seasoned professional? If so, it's about time!
