I doubt this would happen but I would really love it if Burke and Addison showed up for George's funeral! Burke and George were so close on the show and Addison and George worked on a case together in season 3. I think they should come back for the funeral. but I doubt it will happen

Well, the OTH case and GA case are two different things.
It WAS highly rumored that HB and CMM wanted more money but due to the recession, CW wasn't putting up with it. So yeah, their motives were tempted to see in a more selfish light than TR.
TR didn't walk out because of money. He was still getting highly paid for the little amount of screentime he got. What some people are claiming selfish of him is not to return for this episode. That's all.
I do believe that CMM and HB did it out of selfishness, while TR...I still don't know what to believe.

It shouldn't matter any more about TR. It has strickly become Steven's Anatomy. Arguing about anything else is pointless. Shonda is going to do what Shonda wants. The heck with the fans. I mean she wants to use Lexie to keep it Grey's Anatomy. GET SERIOUS!!!!

It's easy. Some people were claiming TR was selfish for walking away from Grey and quitting his job. I pointed out that both CMM and HB did the same thing. They wanted to pursue other interests so they quit.
Actors quit shows all the time. It doesn't make them selfish and it doesn't mean they're ungrateful and don't care about their fans.
If someone is really a TR fan, he won't just love him as George. He'll enjoy him in all his roles.
I plan to go see him in Parade then in New York and to watch whatever he picks to do.
I think some people act like those actors belong to them and they can decided what they should do with the rest of their lives.

I'll really miss George and his relationship with Izzie. Their relationship always reminded me of the one I have with my wife.
George is probably the guy most similar to me, in a much more heroic way of course.
I'm not as into the show as I used to be. I'm not sure I'll continue after George leaves, except if they turn out some amazing episodes like in the good old days.

Seriously people,
You can't decide what other people like or believe.
Shonda created there characters and I love them and I will keep watching.
Just because you think the show is stupid or don't like the show anymore, you don't get to come out here and call the viewers idiots.
And STOP GUESSING WHAT HAPPENED BEHIND THE SCENES. Does it really matter when exactly she decided George was gonna die? Does that help you get even more angry at Shonda?
George's dead. Shonda made a mistake. TR wasn't strong enough. Some people will stop watching. I hope they'll create amazing episodes this season. I'm excited. THE END"
Wow it's so incredibly hard to watch your caption.
It still makes me cry.
I'm really glad George's last scene was with Izzie. I thought they were soulmates so I'm glad he didn't come back for one episode.
I do wish they had aired his last day in the finale and had the elevator scene be his last though. I don't know why Shonda didn't do this.

Patras, the Gizzie fans will always love them. Shonda has kept saying they were a mistake, destroyed their frienship, acted like they meant nothing to each other and we still love them.
We are a pretty loyal bunch. We loved them through everything and we'll love them even through death.
I fully expect Shonda to have Izzie say she was never in love with George and he was a rebound. It won't make me believe it. I know what I saw on my screen and they were in love. I also remember how Shonda said it too before she let the haters changed her mind.
So yeah, don't worry, nothing she can do will make us stop loving Gizzie or George.

I still haven't come to terms with the fact George is gone.
It's going to take me a long time to accept that. i'm glad they're letting Izzie grieve for him.
I always wanted those two together. I missed their scenes this year, and their friendship.

I have a great idea. Why don't we make a thread just to remember all of George's greta moments and we agree not to talk about TR or Shonda in it, just George.
That way, it won't create fights.
George is my favorite character so I would love to do that.

So are Hillary Burton and Chad Michael Murray ungrateful people who don't care about their fans too for leaving OTH? They were the two leads and had a lot more airtime than George, and great stories, and they quit. Does that make them monsters? No. They are actors and actors want to do many different roles.
He's a grown man who wants to do something that fulfills him.
That doesn't make him a bad guy.
I have missed George since the mid-half of season 4. I really wished he wasn't leaving, but I get why and I respect it.
There'll be a big hole without our lovable George. He'll never be forgotten.

I'll miss TR so much. I don' blame him at all. The last two years have been painful seeing my favorite character fade more and more into the background and all his friendships being destroyed for no reason at all.
I don't know what happened. I never saw a character become so cut off from the show.
He had several episodes where he didn't even have any scenes with anyone of his colleagues or the rest of the fab 5.
He was always so close to them before.
It feels personal to me. I don't know what happened, but it's weird he was no longer friends with Meredith or Bailey or Cristina. He didn't even seem friends with Izzie anymore.
I loved Gizzie.
That's not normal.

TR by his own account was miserable in the job. He had to show up week after week to sometimes say one line, which was mostly something like Yes, chief. Yet when he did get a scene, he put his whole heart and soul into it. George had less screentime than the interns this year, but he's the one who scenes I all remember by heart. I don't remember anything from this season except for the George scenes.
That he could put everything he had in George when he was so unhappy shows how much he did care and just how talented he was.
Shonda said that, during his has episode, he had to stand for hours under heavy makeup and that he was absolutely lovely and professional about it and never said a word to complain.
Thaat's the kind of person he is. A true professional.
He could have easily phoned it in. A contract doesn't prevent you from doing that. He didn't.
I will always love TR. He gave me George, the most amazing character that ever was.

Jude, krista said TR was NOT the person she was talking about. She confirmed it the very next day when everyone thought it was him. Aussiello also did a blind item about someone being a diva on set and some thought it was TR, but it was Balthazar Getty.
TR told Shonda he quit in December. I don't get why she couldn't show him in his last months to give us closure.
I think she should know that given the chopice between the 007 scene and months of great George closure scenes, any George fan would have picked months of great George scenes.
We wanted to see him make it as a doctor, teach his interns, find love with maybe someone outside the hospital.
She robbed us of that.
So yes, I blame Shonda, not TR.
I can,t believe he tried to go to her about this and she was too busy.

TR is pretty much the strongest person I know. Shonda said it herself when he left when she talked about his exceptional strength of character they ALL admired.
LOL, even she knows.
It takes so much strength to walk away from 14 million dollars and a hit show where you get paid for doing nothing.
Shonda didn't get rid of TR. He quit, or are you agreeing with us George fans that she treated him so badly to force him to quit and get rid of him?
