Taylor Momsen Prefers Older Guys

Taylor Momsen, Sweet 16? Not exactly.

Teenagers around the country tune in to Gossip Girl to see Taylor play Jenny Humphrey – a high school rebel with the obligatory, requisite teen angst.

But Momsen says she's hardly a typical 16-year-old in real life.

"I live a very adult life," the high school graduate (she got her diploma two years early!) tells Teen Vogue in its new September issue.

"What am I going to do, hang out with high school kids? I just can't relate to what they talk about – it all seems so petty to me."

That includes high school boys. Taylor Momsen, who claims to have been in "lots of relationships," says she could never date a guy who's also 16.

"Boys are so much less mature than girls as it is," the Gossip Girl actress says.

"I would eat a boy my age alive."

Instead, Momsen is eschewing the idea of a traditional college education, opting to take classes online, sing in her band, The Pretty Reckless, and act.

"I'm an artist; I'm not going to use trigonometry," she says. "For most people college is a place where you learn about yourself."

"I feel like I'm doing that already. I'm already independent."

But what about making new college friends?

"I have such trust complexes," Momsen admits. "I'm close to like, two people."

Still, all her insecurities fade away when she steps in front of a crowd to sing. Having spent her life in front of a camera, she's used to it, and doesn't mind if Gossip Girl fans don't "get" her rock star persona or her look.

"I'm pretty, but I'm not, like, a 'pretty girl,'" she says, adding that she modeled her new 'do on a Joan Jett photo. "I know people were a little, um, taken aback. But it wasn't me that changed – it was just that I decided to start being myself."

i mean, i dont exactly disagree with anything she said here, like she is pretty and talented and i understand where shes coming from but saying it herself just makes her sound stuck up and snobbish.

WTF!!!She is a stuck up bitch! and her band sucks they sing pointless songs, and taylor can't even sing! And btw saying
"I'm an artist; I'm not going to use trigonometry," she says
is such a great way to inspire kids to stay in school and get an education.

JUST WONDER ONE THING: How did she manage to skip the two last years of high school and graduate early?????? Wish I could have done that!!! Would´ve saved much time of my life :D

cut her some slack.
she is still young and immature. she thinks she knows everything about the world
because she had different lifestyle than most people. she was forced to grow up early due to her acting career. anyway, we should be pitying her;
we can all experience life of an adulthood,
but she'll never be able experience being a normal teenager

im usually a huge supporter of all the gossip girl stars, and love buying the magazines that they appear on. but reading this, i will not be buying this magazine. i think taylor needs to remember that alot of her fans (or at least fans that watch the show) are in a 16-19 year old age range, or highschool. so i agree with others above, bad pr.

the interview was edited for sure, but I get why people are mad. she does seem arrogant, but I don't hate her. I think there is a part of her that is very mature, probably the whole"growing up on tv" thing. But, like any 16 years old girl there's probably a very insecure part of her that she probably kept to herself for the interview. Sometimes showing your "confidence" to much makes you look conceited.
so, not her best interview BUT I don't hate her.

I've seen her recent video interviews, they did NO editing. She's actually turned into this arrogant fake-punk, smoker-so-her-voice-sounds-depper monster. And she takes every opportunity to remind us that she "totally writes all the songs," shes talented, I know. But shes more vain than gifted.

The magazine surely edited the interview, that's what they do. But I still think she's stuck up and arrogant. I think she didn't even bother not to sound so stuck up. She thinks she a big rockstar omg-i-can-do-whatever-i-want. Yup, that kinda attitude SURE is really mature...Let's see where she will be in about 5 years... Probably REHAB.

Maturity isn't judged by age, or the fact that you party with 24 year olds at your 16th birthday. She has a lot to learn about life. It's mature experiences, not you partying and rocking it up with a second rate band that do that for you. I always enjoyed hanging around with older folks, but that still doesn't mean that I instantly was so harsh on people my own age. They still were able to teach me things about myself.

I have to say that yes, he looks very silly and full of bullshit, but this is common others teenages girls...She acts exactly like most teenage girls.
But sorry, she's still annoying!

Gossip Girl Quotes

And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell ... You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl

[to Jenny] That's the thing. You need to be cool to be queen. Anne Boleyn thought only with her heart and she got her head chopped off. So her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country. Forget boys. Keep your eye on the prize, Jenny Humphrey. You can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you. For what it's worth, you're my Queen. I choose you.
