The Vampire Diaries: About More Than Just Vampires!
Kevin Williamson had a few important messages for audiences members in attendance at The Vampire Diaries panel discussion last week at Comic-Con.
First, the show's executive producer - likely best known for having created Dawson's Creek - said this new series is right up his writing alley.
"Every single character [in the book] is dealing with death, loss and life - which is perfect for me, because everything I write about is pretty much death and loss and hopelessness," Williamson told the crowd.
Moreover, he revealed a pair of huge spoilers for the first season:
- "The town of Mystic Falls has a lot of things that go bump in the night," he said, implying that blood suckers aren't the only creatures alive in the woods.
- Elena will learn Stefan's true identity within the show's first three or four episodes.

Damon: Can we go back in time to the old Stefan, who cared if Elena lived or died? Stefan: What for? It's your job now.
